Finished Godless and it was amazing.
Im watching The Duel now because Netflix assures me im gonna like it.
But you, my trusty Strangers, what would you suggest i watch later, in the (recent) Western category?
(yes, i've watched all Clint Eastwood <3 <3 )
@Vanessa-Snow Idk much about western movies but the movie North by Northwest is very an excellent.
I also saw Godless, was very good. but now Netflix upload bad movies/series.
Obviously, Deadwood, if you haven't seen it. It's basically the Sopranos in Western times, and there are NO heroes. 'Hell on Wheels' is OK, but it can get a bit soap-opera-ish.
Movies-wise, I recommend 310 from Yuma, Bone Tomahawk, Slow West, even dodgy old The-Quick-and-the-Dead from the 90's I guess counts as a 'modern' western. Be warned, however: 'Hostiles' and 'The Salvation' are hyped right up, and they are OVERRATED, m8.
@Vanessa-Snow the jack bull. With John Goodman.
@Vanessa-Snow a million ways to die in the west

Hitchcock? Oh boy, i would have to be in the right mood for that.
Thanks

Deadwood + Hell on Wheels
Thank you. Im gonna try these, since there's a bunch of episodes on both and should keep me busy for a while. ;)
Something tells me you just love a movie/show where there are no heroes.
@wet-teri 1999's John Cusack? I'll take it! Thanks :D
@Vanessa-Snow my grandfather used to watch it so many times. was his favorite.

SOLD!
"The story takes place in Westworld, a fictional, technologically advanced Wild-West-themed amusement park"
whaaaaa. where do i sign up?
Once Upon a Time in the West
I know this doesn´t qualify as "recent western", but if you´ve already watched all Clint Eastwood you´re more than prepared for it. Also, one of my favorites by far.
@Pamela a favorite ;) I thought of this one while watching The Duel because there's a high level of cleavage  and i found myself giggling at the thought of massive cleavages in older movies, but then i remembered Once Upon a Time.  Claudia Cardinalli's boobs are like an extra character.
@Vanessa-Snow Ned Kelly might not qualify as a western as it's set in Australia however it's good and seems like a western.
