@Ava-loner I think you've said enough ava...
would you rather :)

@cjko when I was younger I would always throw throw things away... to painful to keep..
Now from my experience, good or bad ... every memory is precious -
@mr_peanut hahha yeah true :)
-
@cjko
If you destroy it,Shall you curse yourself for your folly, everyday after a while.
So, keep it: safe, secure, sealed and shrouded, somewhere where the winds of time won't erode it in any way.
If she's in the probationary period of 'EX', you might want to hide it. Of course! But don't you destroy it.
The human heart heals with forgiveness gotten and given and there will come a day when you'll look at the good things of the relationship over the bad things and you would want to hold something that has the elements of the former and that's the time when you'll need that gift.
Growing up has a lot to do with deciding based for the long run.
-
@giant-panda exactly.. thank you for sharing this :)
-
its depends how much that stuff worth.
i mean if i still use that gift i will keep it,
but the gift was like broke ill throw it away or i dont need it anymore i rather give to someone else
or if that ex really ruining my life from broken heart after we broke up . ill throw it them away or maybe burn it -
keep expensive gift, throw cheap gift lol
-
Return it because I hate feeling obligated to anyone or like I owe them anything
-
I rather keep it. A memory is the reminder that you "lived" and "tried" even if those memories might bring you some pain!
-
-
@its-bobby hahhaa ok. Well, what if your ex gave you luxurious things? But he ruined your life ... what will you do? haha
-
@hercules hahha true. Yeah, if she asks you to return the expensive gifts, will you return it ?
-
@justchatamy hmmm. Can you still confront him and return what he gave, when in fact he ruined your life?
-
@mr-h hmmmm it means you just loved and been loved. :) What if your new gf saw it?
-
@spaceboy hmm I'm into this side. :)
yeah, if the break-up is really from a horrendous reason to break-up.. well, I'm going to burn or gave away the gifts to someone who can still use it or like it :)if the reason for break-up is understandable , that's the time I'm going to keep it and hold no grudges, just plain acceptance of the things happen. :)
-
@cjko said in would you rather :):
@mr-h hmmmm it means you just loved and been loved. :) What if your new gf saw it?
I don't see why would it be a problem. It's just memories. It's not like I have her underwear 😂🤣 I dunno if I found it on my new gf's room I would be curious and a bit jealous but ultimately I would.understand.
-
@cjko I dont think it's my ex we're talking about :sweat:
-
@justchatamy hahhaha well, yeah your ex. Can you ? :)
-
@mr-h hahaha ok. Well, we can't control other minds.. but it's a typical reaction I think for your new gf to get jealous.
-
@cjko Well my ex didn't ruin my life but he spent a lot of money on me so I felt guilty breaking up with him
