The girl with the dragon tattoo -
    why you should read it?
The book was originally gonna be called 'Men who hate women'. I've read a lot of thrillers but this book is my first thriller/mystery book where there are good female characters.
Granted the first 100 pages of the book are torture, once you get hooked in, you won't be able to put the book down.

  • @thestrangest you mean 1984? Well, it's true that it's not as much philosophy, as it is explaining an ideology that has been put to the extreme. However, one concept that is at least alittle bit "philosophic" (even if a little overplayed) is how knoledge is the biggest weapon. Also how hate is predominant in the world and all that stuff. But the 3 musketeers sure as shit ain't philosophy, brotha.

    No

@goldexperience said in Recommend books to me!!:

You can try 1984 by George Orwell, or if don't like philosophy, there's always Alexandre Dumas with The 3 Musketeers or The Count of Monte-cristo.

Read your own reply, you said the 3 Marketeers or The Count of Monte-cristo are philosophical and even 1984 isn't really philosophically, more of a political novel but sure it does have philosophical sides

Well, it's true that it's not as much philosophy, as it is explaining an ideology that has been put to the extreme

    Yeah

Ohhhhhhhhhh, i read it as "if you do'NT like philosophy", i misread that as if you DO like philosophy. Sorry my bad

  • @thestrangest no worries. We cool as ice

  • @AshleyStedhold05 I have a kamasutra book here. I can share you a pdf copy.
Of course, @dragonfly33 can teach u the basics.

  • @JessicaLou send me download link in pm 😂

  • If you want a breather then I suggest The Book Of Simple Living. It's simple words bring me a peace of mind.
    The author is Ruskin Bond
    Happy reading 😇

@AshleyStedhold05 "Booking Your Heart" Tag Tageria

  • "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury
"Notes from the underground" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

  • Two Days Gone by Randall Silvis is really good

  • I would gladly recommend to you anything from Isaac Bashevis Singer. He was both a novel and short story expert. He uses variety of narrative styles, mostly as a realist, but he is also prone to drench his texts into very rich Jewish folklore. His collection of short stories 'Gimpel the Fool' might be very interesting to you.

  • @Izabela unwind was a good one I had to read for a lit class. Mortal Instruments is another good series I recommend. There are 6 but the main story stops after the 4 one. The divergent series is good too but less "fantasy" more distopia like unwind but not as f***ed up haha

  • As reader u must read this trio..
    Its like a Trinity!!!

    'Harry Potter (7 books & 8 movies)
'The Lord Of The Ring (3 books & 3 movies)
'Chronicles Of Narnia (7 books & 3 movies)

I recommend this trio because this can be a one year plan for ART!
Great books and movies of all time...
As a true lover I recommend to read "The Hobbit" before lord of the ring series

and only watch movies after completing a series...
Which will show how your imagination differ from that of world renowned director's!!?

Even if you seend this movies randomly, watch as a series I am sure it will be a worth watching...

    Feel it!

I’ve never felt as attracted to anyone else as I am to you.

  • @AshleyStedhold05 i thinknthe perfect book for you would be the earthsea trilogy by Ursula leguin, it's absolutely fantastic, a work of stunning imagination amd adventure. Also you could try the chronicles of thomas covenant by Stephen Donaldson, there are 9 books and they are epic fantasy novels. It would be best to read them in order to avoid confusion, i never did as i just picked them up randomly in thrift stores. I could go on but that's already a lot of reading lol

  • @AshleyStedhold05 some of the best adventure books I've read were by Will Hobbs. Gary Paulson is ok too but everyone knows him. Best adventure book of all time is White Fang, closely followed by Call of the Wild, both by Jack London. Enjoy :)
