@sup Ahahaha. It be like that sometimes.
I'm not sure what your stance is on this but gender undoubtedly is a social construct. I'm happy to discuss this more if you're open to it. It's one of the topics I have a keen interest in.
Do we need them? Do they hold us back? Do they make us do stupid things? Are they the only thing that keeps us going as a society? What do you think?
For some reason your post reminded me of a book I read called "Who Moved My Cheese". In it the Author asks.... "what would you do if you were not afraid?" Its true if you think of it in a positive way. If you had no feeling of fear you would do new things a lot, and change can be good. BUT in a way fear can also keep you safe by not doing something stupid and getting hurt or even killed. SO yes feelings can hold you back but sometimes that can be a good thing.
@Alughost
i do think that there are still lots of honorable people around - it's just that their words/thoughts are drowned out by all the petty bullshit that constantly surrounds us.
personally, i'd blame various social media sites for amplifying dumb opinions & allowing irrational people to overwhelm all the voices of reason
@Scottish I'll take your word about Edinburgh - I got lost there for four hours once. All I remember was road-after-road of statues, all branching off at right angles. Probably I'd love it now that I'm older and less stupid.
@sarah_the_magpie I hear that. I'll rig up some kinda headgear so I can still watch her when she comes on TV. Like they had on that episode of Star Trek when they had those aliens the sight of which sent people INSANE.
@AllAboutGay Dont think that everybody is gay. That's only your vision of perfect world. Your Utopia. But, fortunately, we are still living in dystopian world, in which there are some place for straight people too.
And you should respect other people personal personal freedom by not staring at them.
you cant call it a society......., a society is where people live together,they live happily,they care for each other, they understand and respect the feelings of one another.
but here is nothing sort of like that,..........
here we are told to mind our own business,and its not a society
@LazyCalm
i don't get why people assume that if a band is considered "mainstream", it's immediately uncool and lame to listen to them. listening to bands is supposed to be an enjoyable activity, it's not supposed to be some kind of a reverse popularity contest
@Indrid-Cold ahh...another brain-spider that you have created! Wonderful! Thrilling! Magnificent....i'll wait for it to come out for rental.......
Yes, we are rubbish with our wants, yet it is no fun to Not Try. So your Silver Surfer looks like you fighting a roll of tinfoil or just escaped from Tysons Chicken Kitchen! At least you tried, next time you can do better.....okay?
As far as the part of my thoughts that go like: I'm not good enough, I suck at this, I suck at that, crap, shit, now I did that wrong, and so on are concerned, then prolly around 100% with the kind of person who also thinks thouse thoughts :sweat_smile:
For all my other thoughts, well, I guess I might underestimate how much people are actually interested in deep thoughts, but I'd go for around 10%...
@the-infinity I feel every decibel of your despairing howl, bro. And like you, I don't particularly blame globalization. As someone who proports to have communist values, it would be disingenuous for me to slag off international trade, as Marx aspired to a utopian ideal of international borders falling away under socialism. The trouble is, I don't think even he could have imagined the type of weird, hole-ridden false economy we're currently living with.
@sophieuwu that's you perspective and you are assuming that way, may be wired to feel pride for yourself that they think for you that way . people might get excited when they hear doing something which they do not know and be more curious about it and ask few lot question. that do not mean you are good at it what you doing ? I would do it to Figuring out what you claim has weight to make some sense (sense or non sense ) in my brain for that perticular moment . Ever thought about it ??
@DayShifter D-shifter gets bonus kudos for 'WayOoooh' - the correct spelling as seen in the fold-out lyrics sheet from the Outhere Bros. cassette tape from 1995.
This was of course a great tune, but way ack then ... for me it was always
I disagree at all. I got to chat with Indian people, they have a very open, positive vision, not at all marked by suicide .. which is more common in companies such as Japanese and Korean but also in the Baltic countries, as well as in all or almost all countries
