today, three upstanding members of the tws community decided to leave. as a community, we should introspect on the reasons. there is something wrong here.

i feel like a decision has to be made by the @Global-Moderators & @TalkWithStranger concerning the nature of TalkWithStranger.com. is this site going to remain a cool little meeting place for people to make new friends and engage in lovely banter, or is it going to become a trashy sexting site with nasty ads and perverts lurking around every corner?

i have issues with the way this site is moderated, i really do. i honestly do. i know of four individual people who've left this site because they couldn't handle the amount of creeps on this site. they have all left by now, while all the pervs are still here. what is the priority here? getting all these little messed-up creeps and catfishes to use this site in order to maximize that sweet sweet ad revenue? @Global-Moderators, please tell me whose side are you on, because at this point i'm not even sure anymore.

i think that the priority should be making this place a safe & fun environment. no more harassment, no more toxicity. of course, we all need to check our behavior. i'll be the first one to admit that i haven't always been the most welcoming & friendliest person on this site. i will try to be kinder in the future, and provoke less drama.

in my opinion, we need more moderation. this place needs a major cleanup. we need stricter rules of conduct and they need to be actually enforced, not simply treated as suggestions as they currently are.
seriously, no one in their right mind is going to want to join this site if they see 1000X topics like "i'm bored & horny" in a row. let's stop this madness.

i love this place. i love the community here, and i love everyone who makes an effort to keep this place alive. you are all wonderful people. but we can't continue like this. today's events proved it.

i would like to hear suggestions from everyone here. how could we make this place better & more welcoming? please people, let's brainstorm and make something positive happen. let's not give up on trying to turn tws into a better place.

So, I've decided to leave TalkWithStranger.

There are many reasons why. One of the reasons being that back when I first joined up this site in September 2019, I was a bored college student with lots of free time. By now, I've graduated and I'm now employed in my field of choice. This leaves me with a lot less of free time to spend on social media sites, including TWS. A second reason would be that I feel like most of the people I was the closest to have either left or otherwise reduced their activity here. Sadly, TWS is not as much fun as it used to be.

I would like to use this opportunity to say that I very much enjoyed my time here. I did! I really-really did :) This community of people has shown me a lot of love, care and friendship, which I'll never forget. I love how this site is like a mosaic tapestry of wonderful diversity. There are users here from all age groups, from different nationalities and with different personalities.
The way this site melds all these individuals together into a fully-fledged community is just amazing. No one is ever left out, there is room for everyone here. I wish I could lend you all my eyes for only a brief second so you could see TWS the way I did. It's just so... beautiful.

I would like to give out special shoutouts to these users (in no particular order): @Lazz, @Scottish, @Sup, @TheRisingSun, @enton, @BobFoot777, @Ash-Ketchup33, @widdlefappy33, @Jessssss, @spaceboy, @KETholic, @Lurker, @littlelion12, @NathanOnFire, @Sam, @Vanie, @belethor, @Matt_Aranha, @Indrid-Cold, @pe7erpark3r, @Eye and @Morf. All of these people are truly awesome, and it's been a privilege to have met you all :) I love you guys so-so much!

My super special shoutout goes to @Thales_BG. He is one of the kindest, friendliest people I've ever met, period. He is a truly wonderful person with a very big heart, and I want everyone here to know that.

that's a good point. i also think that more should be done to discourage the high volume of spam, sexual & lost-partner topics in the community. it sometimes feels like at least 80% of all new topics fall under those three categories and i think that it's very off-putting to potential new users.

i don't think anything is determined for us, and i don't believe in destiny/fate at all

obviously when you're born many things are predetermined for you. your genetics/country of origin/class status/culture/language/parents/peer pressure/childhood/education/mental health do play a huge role in who you'll become and these things can't be changed, but we all still have free will and a consciousness. ultimately it's up to us to decide who we want to be

it's almost like we're all given pieces of a puzzle and told to complete it. you can't choose the pieces you're given, but you can choose what you'll do with them.
