For me I'd correct the person saying it was a cough and not a sneeze but thank him/her for being considerate.
☺ There's no reason to feel embarrassed because that's just how I cough - would be my answer
@cjko Due to my huge radar ears, for me when I walk down the street I happen to come across some of the most radom cross section of peoples conversations....
By this I mean the part that I catch could be connected to any number of weird and wonderful subject matter. I don't do it any more, but i did used to comment on many of the windows into stranges worlds while walking.. I would hear ,"blah blah blah"... and as I passed I could comment "random-blah random-blah random-blah" and just carry on on my merry way lol
The best course is always communication. If this person is really your friend then communication is key. I have a friend who had this same issue many years ago. When they talked to their friend they both ended up feeling much better around each other. All three (the 2 girlfriends and the guy) ended up being very good friends.
Dosent always work out with the guy but friends will always be there for you.
@lapis-15 I'm sorry that happened to you. I think I may have the answer. Many people strongly dislike when others like or do different things than them. For example, if I like to draw, and my friend likes to play video games, would call drawing "stupid" only because he/she cannot handle the differences in us. I recommend you look for people who won't throw a fit just because someone likes something different than them. The causes can be immaturity, confusion, or even an unrelated reason such as a tough situation in their life. Although people have their reasons, they should not act this way. I've lost friends because they simply don't agree with me, but I've also kept close friends because we both disagree, but accept that we aren't the same person, and we set our distances aside and remain friends. This proves that someone is an actual friend. Some people can't handle disagreements, and they lash out for whatever reason. I'm sorry this is so long, but I hope I answered your question to your satisfaction. I hope you have a good day. And if you're not, I certainly hope it gets better.
