I was thinking, if you could freeze time whenever a witty comeback is required, the better to think of the perfect putdown / insight / mind f, how long would you give yourself? A few seconds? A minute or two?
Me, I'm inclined to never freeze time. That way lies Oscar Wilde territory, and I'd much rather be one of the Sex Pistols (in any social situation, a part of my mind is always measuring my responses against the template set by Johnny Rotten being interviewed by Bill Grundy).
But I concede it would be nice, say, if a chugger says something under his breath as you pass by, and you could then say something that would freeze his blood and own him (or her).

Yeah, only that it usually takes me between 3 and 24 hours to come up with a good response. I would spend half my life in frozen time. People would notice pretty soon :joy:
@petrapark3r Yes, but that shows you respect your fellow (wo)man enough to give them only the best word play. If only everyone was so considerate.

@Indrid-Cold I wouldn't freeze time. Having to come up with something fast and on the spot is apart of the fun! Whether my response was good, bad, or non existent, its specifically the lack of time that makes it worth anything
