Rather forgive or take revenge?

So I was betrayed by a friend. I am having mixed emotions. I am very hurt but also very furious but not surprised. I feel like the ⚠ warning signs were there but I ignored it. Thought they wanted a real friend and was dealt a bad hand. Fast forward their relationship is going down the drain and they out of jealousy tell my partner things that should have not been told to them. Any ways now me and my partner are not talking. I am pretty pissed off.

You forgive someone not because they deserve your forgiveness but because you deserve your peace of mind. Plain and simple.

The best revenge is always forgiveness. Don't fall into the trap of bad feelings, they change you, not who receives them.
Taking revenge also means giving too much attention to those who no longer deserve it. Don't do it, focus on the important things in life, live serene :)

@kevinschepis exactly, you say so yourself. You are enraged. As soon as you allow yourself to think and live peacefully you will see things differently. Don't ruin your life for someone else's mistakes
