Why do women make excuses?
-
When women don't want to hang out with you, they often invent – or create – some kind of excuse. They don't just tell you they aren't interested.
What I find cruel about this, is that it keeps you wondering wether the excuse is actually valid or wether they just don't want to hang out with you. What dou you boys think? And girls, whats your reason for doing it? Or are you rather the direct type?

@pe7erpark3r
Because they don't want to be rude and hurt the guy i guess. -
I can totally agree with you, life would be easier if people were straightforward when it comes to that, then again, I can also relate with @Kana's reply as I kinda hate hurting others :shrug:

Because they don't want to be rude and hurt the guy i guess.Maybe I should have written "external excuse", like someone inviting her to a party or something. I would prolly be alright with something like: "I'm not over my last boyfriend"...

SOME girls are just testing you..
But for me, if I don't like it.. I will try to explain it with that person in a kind way. :)

I get that girls are testing... what I don't get is where the test is in that?
But for me, if I don't like it.. I will try to explain it with that person in a kind way. :)
That's admirable of you.
-
@pe7erpark3r wow.. thank you.
don't give high hopes. It will tear them apart
-
@pe7erpark3r I think most times the girls don't want to hurt them, but I also think sometimes, when a girl is being straight forward, the guys make it worse. Lets say it's about dating, and the girl straightforwardly says she doesn't want to be in a relationship, but the guy will still try to get into a relationship and try to prove to her that he is worth dating. At this point, the only thing left to do is think of some excuse as to why it wouldn't work or why she wants to be alone in order to get it through the guys head.

@pe7erpark3r
An excuse like "I'm washing my hair!" and they chose to have theSigourney Weaver look from Alien 3
:O

@Zen00 Hey curious cookie (that expression is so cute) thank for participating!
when a girl is being straight forward, the guys make it worse.
Are you talking from personal experience?
the guy will still try to get into a relationship and try to prove to her that he is worth dating.
Are guys really that thick? I myself tend to give up after the first unsuccessful try – not that anybody should follow this example.
I would actually expect to see the opposite result from directness. Not that I want to push my logic on womanhood, but I feel like the logical progression could be:
- boy asks girl to hang out
- girl says: "not interested"
- boy gets it or keeps pushing
- girl comes up with an excuse why it wouldn't work
Instead what I see is
- boy asks girl to hang out
- girl invents excuse why she cannot hang out
- boy asks again
- girl comes up with another excuse why she cannot hang out
- boy asks again
- now girl
- either finally comes up with an excuse why it cannot work.
- or starts being mean ("why don't you get it? I don't want to hang out with someone like you")
Sorry I can't help that I think in such structural ways. I guess I'm just a man...

No that I would get :joy:

@pe7erpark3r Evolution, innit. Genetic knowledge hard-wired into their brains dictates that they can't just automatically dismiss a possible mate in case a better hunter-gatherer never comes along and they have to go with their second, third, fourth or hundredth choice. Of course, the alternative could just be that they're FICKLE and INSANE, but I'm sure that can't be true (winking emoji)
-
@pe7erpark3r Yes, it is from personal experience 😂 I agree that after the first unsuccessful try maybe someone should try again, but after that I think some people just try to force it. I've met many guys who wouldn't take no for an answer and I had to block them because they wouldn't leave me alone even when I was being upfront
-
@pe7erpark3r they just don't wanna hurt you. They're being nice
-
@pe7erpark3r there's nothing wrong in stating the obvious even if it breaks your heart, if she doesn’t put an effort into initiating interactions or conversations or if you feel like you’re giving more than you’re getting, the simple answer is my boi SHE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. :)
-
its a "shit test"... if you obsess and worry over it? you failed it... best you can get after that is "friend zone"... which is where if any man finds himself? he is no longer a "man"...

Well, i will say from boys perspective. I will not ask someone hang out with me unless she gives me "signal" that she is interested enough with me. How could i know?
Look girls love to be loved by someone even when they are not interested enough with that person, but they aint say "upfront" things about what they feel btw. Thats ladies rules (my sister confirmed it). Thats why we as boys should be more "concern" about a little change from girls.Girls, kindly help this boy from y'all perspective :) @WtfJudith @JessicaGrant @Vampire_Queen @heyitszoey

I appreciate that. Maybe I do appreciate straightforward girls... It might be possible that I am only compatible with straightforward peeps in general, let me think about that for a while.
Only sad thing about this would be, that I am compatible with people who reject me straightforwardly :shrug:
