Do you think this in this virtual world of .... well nothing really

Simple question to the masses really. I'd like to know your thought's and opinions on it. (It's a double barreled question lol)

Why do we let people that we are almost certainly never going to meet

    • 1 get under our skin?,

    • 2 Let them cause us pain?

  • @Durwin

    1. I'm not sure. I've never understood how people get mad at trolls and such. The way I see it, they're irrelevant and so are their words. I don't know why people get so upset over the internet about anything 😂
    2. If someone can cause someone pain my guess is because they care. When you care about someone, whether you meet them or not, what they say and/or do can affect you in multiple ways. Sadly, some people can even get hurt. However, even though this is sad, I see it as a good thing. Only people who truly care and have feelings will be able to feel such pain without ever needing to meet someone. In a way, I think that's beautiful ❤

You Ms. are a true diamond in this land(place) of the very rough. All credit to you 🙂

Well... I speak for myself, just because I haven't been with someone IRL doesn't mean they can't be important / love that person. In fact, loving someone you never met might be a bit platonic but it's simply beautiful if it does happen. It's the true epitome of looks vs personality. Ofc nowadays you can see a lot with technology but it's never the same as seeing someone right in front of you.
With that said... it brings us to a fork. Is that person important to you or he/she is just a stranger you just met? If it's a random troll, showing you don't care is the best "punishment". Trolls feed on attention, if no one pays attention to them they will give up, hopefully, if it's someone important / loved talking and understanding his/her reasons should be the best...
Either way we don't really "choose" to be pissed at this people, it's in our personality. Some of us are more sensitive then others. It is what it is and we shouldn't feel weirded out for that! 😄

@Lurker Thanks Sir for your reply.
You are of course right with your comment of:

It's the true epitome of look's vs personality

Regarding Trolls, as much as I have been a net-dweller for a little over 20 years now, this is a new concept to me. Similar to you, as a person that wears his heart on his sleeve for all to see, I will always struggle with people that feed off of attention. For me, this is not just a virtual thing I struggle with, but an 'out of the matrix' thing to.

As my fav soccer team sings ....
