Yeah it is
What to do what to do?????????
-
Okay so I am a single mom. The dad is nowhere in the picture at all. In fact, he cant be within 500 feet of me and my daughter :). But anyways
There is a daddy-daughter dance at school. And she really really wants to go. So first things first.- she wants to go but she doesnt have a dad. Do I go instead or would that be weird or...?????
2)She started asking where her dad is. Why she hasnt ever met him. And idk. Idk how to answer that.
Any single mommas out there or anyone out there period that can help, it would be much appreciated
- she wants to go but she doesnt have a dad. Do I go instead or would that be weird or...?????
-
I wish I could help but I have no idea I'm sorry. I mean my mama is a single mom but she's got two boys cause her daughters already moved out so.
-
@willoww You should go instead bc it's ok to be weird if it makes her feel better or if she has an uncle or grandpa they can go with her or any close male figure in your family.
-
@cheesecake-lesb I don't have kids yet so idk and my school never had a daddy daughter dance when i was growing up.
-
@cheesecake-lesb look at it this way. I was disowned from mi familia. So no, no close male figures. What else ya got?
-
@willoww Then you go it's not that weird if you just want to make her happy.
-
I'm sure you aren't the only single mom at school, so I think it's not weird to go with your daughter. But i'm not a single momma, i'm not even a woman so don't pay attention to my advice xD
-
I think you should dance with her.
That'll actually be super awesome.
And i'm sure you don't care if it's awkward!
And about her question, idk if its time to tell her the truth. -
@sammy Ya I really think she deserves to know the truth
-
@willoww you definitely go if that’s what she wants. It’s not weird at all. You are her only real role model so nothing wrong with bringing her to the dance. As far as the second part of your post, that’s a very tricky situation that needs to be handled delicately. That’s something you need to really weigh your options as far as what you want to tell her. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
-
@football_m29 Agreed 100%
-
@cheesecake-lesb she's only 5, so being honest is important, but it's ok to leave out some details.
-
i think ya should just go with her it'll be cute, people respect most single mommas
-
@cheesecake-lesb @Willoww Tell her, dad wasn't worthy enough to be her dad so its just you and me kiddo, Im THE SUPERMOM. Im sure a 5yo would understand that simply.
AND THAT IS HOW YOUR GONNA GO TO THAT DANCE THING. DRESS UP LIKE THAT, it'll be fun. ENJOY :) -

I suggest you go.
cut your hair & goto a makeup artist to look male.
Give yourself laryngitis(like Batman) to sound male .
Call yourself Mr Pine ,the partner of Willow .Alternatively
Rent a dad .

...he stars getting frisky ?..pee on him to show dominance.2)She started asking where her dad is. Why she hasnt ever met him. And idk. Idk how to answer that.
Say you're the 21'st century Virgin Mary. & she's Gen Z Jesus.
God is your sugardaddy & Angels are her uncles .
Her house is in the clouds.if she asks how will she get there ,say she will have to get crucified & tortured ...& since those are outlawed in the country,she's shit outta luck..She will unfortunately have to live the rest of her life like a normal mortal.
Reptile apologizes. He doesn't know how to truly help. He wants people to have fun . Reptile hopes he atleast got a smile on your face in such a time .
It is Reptiles personal belief that your daughter be told the truth.But every child is different.Some will accept & be happy that its the truth ,even if its sad news.Others will rather live a happy life even if they are deluded. It will be upto you .The choices & consequence will be yours to live with .Hope you & your daughter be happy forever & ever.

@cheesecake-lesb
Yes indeed but the thing i'm sure about is,
Is that the right age for her to know that or is she too small now! -
@willoww I do not think
-
Leave and go
-
@willoww Just go with her and make her happy it's simple. As for the telling her about her dad: she deserves to know, but that's your choice.
-
hmmm a complicated situation indeed, maybe tell the truth, or maybe tell her that he died, i dont know, not so good when it comes to such things
