I just want to do a solo trip to sele pass and the nearby places
Will everything be alright in the end?
-
Just wondering. Will everything be alight in the end? Y'know in terms of just life? Don't sugarcoat it.
Also, while I think of it, why is it suddenly fashionable for hipster shops to play tracks from 'OK Computer' as background music? When it first came out, OK Computer was a soundtrack for complete hopelessness, and relationship breakdowns, and impossible social expectations, not looking round overpriced bookshops, or stupid American Apparel outlets, or glacial comic shops. Eh?
-
@Indrid-Cold that entirely depends on you. well us. those of us who choose death, will not be alright, and those of us who choose Life will miss them for eternity. it'll feel like almost everything was alright though. if they didn't choose death, everything would be alright. how much I wish everybody would choose life... :'(

I take it you're talking about, like, in an eschatological, religious sense, Petra? Rather than if we're in the middle of a war and we're running out of ammo, and the fuzzy-wuzzies are closing in, and we have to choose between eating our last round ourselves or getting taken prisoner?
In all seriousness, if there is a god, and his omniscience stops just short of seeing into our minds, probably the one thing He'll be surprised about is how many people stubbornly choose death.

@spacegirl I like that positivity. And the dinosaurs might be gone, but has there ever been a cooler creature since? Maybe the dingo that stole Meryl Streep's baby and got away with it.

But on the other side, switching from changeable to stable state - is a change itself
Maybe Jesus getting born in the stable was a kinda metaphor for how he was bringing in a stable state for all mankind?

@spacegirl 1979 is the limit of my memory, so I don't quite remember either. :white_frowning_face: :eye:

@Indrid-Cold I believe that moving on is the bitter truth of life, change is inevitable so is the end to everything..however deep down I do think everything will maybe turn out to be okay and if it doesn't...well then we don't have a say there. We have to keep moving, no stops!
-
@Anastasia-Smith Brave words. I'm right behind you. (shakes fist at Fate: "You hear that? We ain't scared!")

Yeah, I actually did. However I don't view it as strictly next-lifey. Eternity starts now. Consider this: all that you do, you will have done it, for eternity. Nothing can ever change it.

True. I doubt He's surprised though, He's prolly sad...

It's not that bitter, IMHO. In fact staying here, is considered hell by @PetraPark3r. Trust me, she knows :joy:
-
@petrapark3r some ppl do find it bitter..in fact bitter would be an understatement.
-
PANIC! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIIIIIIEEE!!! ............ Eventually lol, but don't be afraid of death. There's a song by Enigma called the Return to Innocence I think you would really like. Check it out if you could use a little boost.

fair enough. your experience is just as valid as mine. so here's mine for the record: ive already suffered quite a lot in this life and i know (anybody in their right mind knows) that it will continue to be ripe with suffring and bitterness. to me it would indeed be hell to live for ever. i am glad it will one day end.

Someday, someone will clone that dinosaur. Do I want to be the one to read about in some blog or news snippet? No, heck no! I want to apply for the job of taming that dino, saddling it and riding it. Not to impress you, you or that argumentive Troll in the corner, I want to ride that dino for me. To tell Myself "I did this cause I could, self-doubt can go smeg itself." I Choose, do you??

@steelfirehawk That's a weird coincidence. My best pal is a 45 year old, ex-army hard-as-nails nutter but, randomly, his favourite song is Enigma, Return to Innocence. He likes the Native American aspect.:ox:

@Sabo-go-thud Godspeed pal
