@esther_n Some of my favourite books include I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, Dune, Wuthering Heights, and To Kill A Mockingbird. I like a lot of plays too.
What do you usually like to read?
What about New Age music that came out in I think the 80's 90's. Only think I can think of right off was what there was in the Music of "HACKERS" I bought the CD for that movie and I really liked about 90% of it.
I can't really post about Music without giving away my age somewhat. I really liked the "Mystery to Me" album by Fleetwood Mac which now is a timeless classic. The Dylan, Byrds, The Who, Ten Years After, Lovin Spoonfull, Doors, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Beach Boys, Donovan, Cream, The Band, Santana, Hollies, Rascals, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Temptations, Otis Redding, Sly and the Family Stone, I could probably list at least a 100 more from the 50's to present!
@SeannaNikita Agreed
depends on the ear
i basically only listen to mongolian throat singing. every other genre sounds pedestrian to my ears
@sarah_the_magpie Pedestrian? I think not.
@Lazz
okay, that's a fair point. let me amend my original statement: i only listen to mongolian throat singing and didgeridoo rhythms
@sarah_the_magpie Well, there you just go, then LOL :)
By the way, I like Mongolian throat singing too, oh and also Mongolian beef
@Lazz
beef! i feel like there should be more mongolian things in general, it's too unknown of a nation.
however, i don't think that we need more mongolians, because when a certain critical mass is reached, they kinda tend to horde up and loot cities in asia & europe
@sarah_the_magpie Oh, and pillage also, and that other thing that shouldn't be mentioned. THUGG LIFE Mongolian style
@Lazz said in favriote type of music ? mines heavy metal:
and that other thing that shouldn't be mentioned
yeah, that other thing :/ after conquering a village, they would gather up a bunch of defenseless women, get off their horses and... devour gallons of ice cream.
it was a really disgusting & wrong habit of theirs, i'm so glad that you were polite enough not to mention it :/
@sarah_the_magpie Since you brought that up, historically speaking that wasn't gallons of ice cream. It came from the horses.
@Lazz
oh god.... they milked their horses, didn't they? thank you for giving me a mental image of mongolian soldiers demolishing tubes upon tubes of horse ice cream.
i really needed that image to be stuck in my head :D:D
@sarah_the_magpie Mongolian horsey goes "MOOO" LOL
