First Off .... Sorry for the delayed message.

As many of you will be aware, there was a huge loss of user infomation here on TalkWithStranger.

During an upgrade to the system, the user database became corrupted.
The guys at admin have spent the day trying to recover the data, sadly to no avail.
The back-up they have had to use is a little over 3 weeks old, as I'm sure many of you have come to realise.

Sadly the data is unrecoverable

Let me tell you something about myself,
um.. when I was like nine, I had a decent collection of the pokemon trading cards. Nothing great, but to me, they were my real asset.
I talked back to someone and that set my mum off. Went on a rant, don't remember the conversation, really. But she took all the cards, said they were gone for good.
Couple weeks later, she gave me a couple of them back, but only like 10 out of the over 100 I had. The few I got back weren't official cards. some were obvious fakes. All the real cards were gone. Only the worthless ones came back.
She was sorry. I forgave her but would never forget for what she did to me.

I appreciate your apology but I need space and time to deal with how I feel about this its just not easy for me to forgive you.

@Durwin This is the reality. This should be a lesson for us that "soft copies of data sets" are volatile and vulnerable.

This is also like some of our memories, friends, and loved ones in life. Everything (Everyone) is meant to disappear. Nothing lasts forever. Forever is just a lie. It's up to you how you will treasure every moment of your life.

Although, like many others i lost a fair amount, i honestly think iwas reasonably lucky... ive not been posting recently like i did last year, and my inbox had messages that help to tell whichever story i wanted to look back at, but apart from one complete set of recent messages, i didnt lose much that i will lost sleep over.
At my age i dont engage in the same practices as the younger users lol 😝
