Simply normal-1st chapter ‘Brooke’s Routine’

She wakes up to the sound of the alarm buzzing in her ear. Brooke was the only one in the house who use an alarm clock besides her dad. It was her job every morning to wake up her brother and mother. Crawling out of bed, she grabs her robe and turns off the alarm before letting her warm feet touch the freezing floor. It had just turned December so the weather was almost unforgivably freezing. Carefully reaching in her dresser beside Her bed she grabs a pair of socks and puts them on. She walks to her brothers room and opens the door, “Happy 17th Birthday John. Now it’s time for you to get up.” He just grunts and rolls over as he usually does in the morning.
She walks down the hall and into the kitchen to make her mom a pot of coffee. Her mom is a simple woman. Make her coffee in the morning she can function durring the day, but if you don’t make her coffee her whole day will be messed up. After after fixing to pot to make coffee she begins her normal routine. Brushing her teeth,getting dressed, doing her hair. It was just a normal school day to her. When her mom wakes up in the morning she wakes up her little sister, Taylor. Brooke Loved Taylor to death. She was there helping her mom raise Taylor as soon as she was born. Out of nowhere brookes mom says, “Brooke, could you put these clothes on Taylor as I do Johns hair he seems to not be old enough to know how to do it on his own.” Brooks Moma was a very sarcastic woman always making sure her and her siblings were on track. “Yeah mom.” Brooke replys as she’s already dressing Taylor. Only a few seconds pass by when she begins to hear her mother and her brother arguing about how his hair is suppose to look. Brooke shoved it off because it happens every time when her mom tries to fix his hair. Grabbing Taylor’s hand, she walks into the kitchen and grabs her little lunch box. “Taylor, I’ll make your lunch today. Whatcha wanna eat?” Taylor reply’s sweetly, “Can you make me a cheese sandwich like mommy does? And can I have some chips and maybe a brownie? Mommy puts chips and brownies every time!” Brooke giggles at how adorable her baby sister is and smiles with the reply on, “of course!” Making the sandwich carefully she cuts off the crust and puts a slice of cheese in the middle. Taylor never really favored much meet. It concerns her when she eats something that once had a face. After finishing packing her lunch her mom and brother end up being finished with their arguement. John comes out the bathroom with slicked back hair and a angry face and brook tries to hold back a laugh. “Moma I made Taylor her lunch for you.” Brooke says trying to break the awkward silence due to the arguement. Her mother says, “thank you are you all ready to go?” Brooke and Taylor nod but John stays all sulked up and mad, not wanting to answer. As they walk to the truck to head to school Brooke says to John, “Don’t let this hair innocodent mess up your whole day I hope you have a good birthday.”
Getting into the car it’s a normal ride to school. Everyone quiet not paying much mind to all the things said on the radio. Only thinking about what to do during the day at school. Brooke had a phone but she only had her parents and her best friend’s phone number and her and her friend had an arguement the night before, so this morning the two of them didn’t text much. Her best friends name was Sky. Brooke and sky had always been best friends since kindergarten. Everyone said they hung out so much that they looked like sisters. As they arrive to the school something seems off...
