"Redemption" - a poem
-
Redemption
Hear the clicking sound of a metal that just got loaded
Of all the hate you engulfed i think you're bloated
Trigger's pulled, why don't you point it in the president
Point it somewhere else just not in her head
Saddest part of being a rebel daughter
Is that she'll never have a clue of what she'll encounter
One time, you had a good reputation, so noble
But damn now your'e still pointing at her, that pistol
Where is the bright future you talked about
Where were you when she always had the doubts
You're gonna kill your daughter for real, man
Won't you even give her a chance to stand
Stand for herself, that girl's gotta defend
Don't let her gloomy life come to an end
Let her become what she's gotta be
It's her life, man, you gotta let her live
Remember when she was a cute baby
When she falls down, you always say sorry
She was the light that gave you brighness
The only joy against the sadness
She's your center of attention
And now, man, you have lost affection
You have neglected and denied her,
Think of all the things you could ponder
Man, get back to your senses right now
Would you want to put that gun down, somehow
Don't let her die in her father's hands
Think, if she dies, that's not what you would want. -
