• @cjko Think I', goona have to try that door thing! @ObviouslyLucifer

  • @mr_peanut hahaha yeah sure you can. Good luck

  • @mr-h said in How does a person walks away from all of the memories?:

But how does one walk tho the said doorways, when the last doorways you walked before are so magnificent?

@cjko said in How does a person walks away from all of the memories?:

But what if that memory is tooo much to walk away from ?

You have to move away from them either way..

You can cherish them, treasure them as in put them in a box, bury that box in the background of your mind and draw a map and put a x on the map just so you know where to find them.

You can revisit them but you cannot dwell in them.

Because no matter how hard you try to hold on to the past, its already gone.

The person you created those memories with, you were fine before them, you will be even better without them (even if it doesn’t feel like it now).

Think back to before you met the person you’re having a hard time moving on from.
    You existed before them.
You probably even thrived before them.
And you’ll exist and thrive again without them.
It can be hard to remember how life was and who you were before you met them, but now it’s time to relearn how to be YOU.
You are still the same person, you still have the same dreams and you still have those same quirks and qualities that drew them to you in the first place.

Our brain works much like a computer hard disk, those ones and zeros (stupid memory fragments) never go away you can replace them but some part of them will always remain and one small shred of that memory will make you remember the whole thing again.

The best you can do is learn to live with them.

Keep them in storage, don't forget them, but make new memories with different people and may be your brain will focus on the new memories more than the old ones, and you just might find some happiness.

  • @cjko you don't need anyone to fix your broken soul. It's not anyone's duty to do that. Rather you and only you are responsible to lift yourself up. This world is very cruel and very harsh. People come in and go but remember never attach yourself to someone who doesn't love you back. But yes, I know it's easier said than done but trust me. This is the best advice I can give to anyone. And I wish I followed it too.

  • @obviouslylucifer haha wow. Are you a love guru ? hahha well, yeah.. that's what I did.. I just ask something like that to know what you did too :) hmmm you are absolutely right. Well, accepting what already happened and gone is the most effective way to walk away from those memories. Set them as a reminder that you have to be wiser in the next journey. Unload the heavy ones so that, it is easier for you to move on. It's like packing your things for a vacation trip somewhere, the main goal is for you to be happy, but you carried a lot of unimportant loads which really stressed you out at the destination. :)

  • @giant-panda hhahaha true.
Yeah, in love.. you have to leave something for yourself. Don't give all your 100% love to anyone. We can not beat the fact that everyone will hurt us.. it is just a matter of who is worth to compromise and fight for.

  • @cjko said in How does a person walks away from all of the memories?:

@obviouslylucifer thank you for this :)
But what if that memory is tooo much to walk away from ?

Contrary to popular belief you don’t have to hate someone you want to forget. Hating someone puts them at the centre of your life, and doesn’t let you forget them. The key is to shift your focus away from them instead. Lies you don’t need to tell yourself if you don’t believe them already include:

    “I never loved them.”

    “They’re evil.”

“I was too good for them.”
Instead tell yourself, “Everything has its time. I’m happy for the good times I had with a certain individual. The time for that person in my life has now passed and it’s time to look forward.”

  • @giant-panda aww :) thank you for this. :)
yeah, harboring bitterness and holding grudges will never ever be a good idea for me. But I do ignore them, LOL like they're nothing once I moved on. :)

@cjko Life wants to say that LOVE and TAKE CARE to "YOURSELF" first...

  • @giant-panda yeah I will. Thank you :)

  • @obviouslylucifer

Magnificent wording, I didn't know the devil was so good at giving advice :smirk:

  • @cjko some memories are unforgettable, remaining ever vivid and heartwarming..It is hard and Im not sure how to walk away from good memories good ones always stay in my heart and I smile once I remember it ; but if the memories are bad then its unlikely to be treasure, I turn away from it and never look back..Spit it,Phew! To that bad memories

  • @valve hahhahaha ok :)

  • sometimes your heart knows not what your head warns. I've been in and out of love before and you manage to shake it off eventually, but theres always that one person, whose to close to you for the memories to just fade, but too far away to make new ones with.

Holding on to the same few memories seems sad because day by day you begin to forget minute details until you can barely remember it.

sometimes you wish you hadnt met people who treat you badly in life, for me, i wish i hadnt met the one person I fell in love with, because its just too hard to forget she exists.

pardon the essay, just wanted to vent.

    Craig

  • Its not the memories they are walking away from,it is the situation,,your memories are forever.no one can take them away, and you cant "walk away from them:

  • @cjko by Time will slowly eat your memories. There will be a time when you will forget even your name.

  • In moving on you have to remember one thing
Just because you love a person doesn't mean you have to stay. Maybe it's because you love them but you continuously hurt them with your actions or maybe they love you but they know that you deserve better. Nevertheless staying is a choice because it is an action word he or she made a choice and so should you. You can either do it and fuck up the whole thing or you can do nothing and let it fuck you up instead
