• @rendezvous He is no more:loudly_crying_face:

  • Jiggs sorry i haven't finished your post. Are you taking a test?

  • Well too late this is a 2h old post

  • @thestrangest don't worry he is already dead and its a pretty easy identity. He could get it from anywhere on the google. Its like the most basic trig identity

I've been really getting into trig recently. I memorized each exact value of cos and tan on the trigonometry cirlce separated by 15 degrees. Secθ=1:cosθ right?

  • @thestrangest yep it is. And its easy when you get used to it. After a while, you'll look back and say, damn this wasn't even thing to memorize. Like it would be pretty obvious after sometime. And all the double angle and triple angle identities too.
And yea, also memorize it for 37 and 53 degrees. It is very common when you solve questions

    Did i find it?

  • @rendezvous but what i did doesn't work for him right? He's supposed to demonstrate it with the figure that he has

  • @thestrangest yep that is good too. But the question is about proving it by geometry. And its easy. You can try it. Just write all the relations first, like tanx and sec x. And then you just have compare both the sides.

yep he has to do it by the figure and it really doesn't matter how you prove the identities though, cause at the end they are gonna imprint in your mind whatsoever. And you won't even need this in future.

  • Sorry it took me a bit. It's not the most organized thing but here it is:

  • @thestrangest yep!! You got it right!

  • @rendezvous cool but I'm 3 hours late. Lol

Did anyone really benefit from me solving this?

  • @sumof1 This is proving via trigonometric function not by actual variables.
I just saw this one but this is very easy since it is a right triangle. Otherwise, you cant use Pythagorean identities here.
