Like drug dealers or people who sell cigarettes or even people who do onlyfans or even legit doctors. You profit from people's addictions or loneliness or other illnesses. Is that ethical? In the cases of drug dealers, is it fine because you're giving people their fix? Or doctors, is it fine to charge people absurd amounts of money for something as basic as healthcare? What do you think about profiting from people's suffering?

What makes bad words bad?
Words, man. Words. What gives them power? DO THEY HAVE POWER AT ALL? What do you think?

RE: What is it that you truly desire ?
This might be a cliche world peace type answer but I truly wish we lived in a world where people could be more understanding of each other rather than attacking everything that deviates from their narrow perception of 'normal'. It's cliche but that would be it. That and money.

Can questions be offensive?
I posed a question here yesterday as I tend to do because I have all these thoughts about all these things and my friends are no help at all when I try to explore ideas with them. The responses I've gotten on this site tend to be interesting in better informing my own opinions and introducing me to new perspectives. What happened this time, though is that I got a bit of backlash for my question. I have never in my life been attacked for asking for people's thoughts about a topic. I didn't get so much of opinions or criticisms as much as just rebuke for asking the question in the first place. I got pretty shook up, ngl.
Now I'm asking another question. Can questions, themselves, be offensive/ how so? Is it in structure? Is it in what is being implied? Can invitation of outside opinion be, itself, attacking outside opinion?

RE: What makes a person beautiful?
I don't think there really is anything that can make a person beautiful or not beautiful. Cliche as it sounds, it really is in the eyes of the beholder. That's what I think at least.

What do you think about feelings?
Do we need them? Do they hold us back? Do they make us do stupid things? Are they the only thing that keeps us going as a society? What do you think?

RE: What is actually the meaning of life?
I don't think there isn't a meaning of life, and I don't mean that in a nihilistic sense. Everyone has their own thing. You do what makes sense to you, think what makes sense to you, believe what makes sense to you. Life is whatever you make it.

What do you think about thinking?
What do you think about thinking? Is it stressful? Is it necessary? Does it make us needlessly depressed? Should we allow things to think for us? Have we already allowed things to think for us?

RE: How many times have you cried in your teen life ?
I left my teen age not too long ago.
I don't think I cried enough. -
RE: Is it ethical to profit from people's misfortune?
@Cold-Sun I think I get what you're saying. Everyone makes their own choice as to how they use their money and the people selling are just doing their job and that's how the economy works. Cool. You answered my question. Thank you.

RE: Is it ethical to profit from people's misfortune?
@The-Mods how so? I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything, just trying to get an idea about where I might have gone wrong with the question. Did it come across as too judgmental? If so, my objective is really just to see what people think to better inform my own views, so I do apologize if I came across as judgmental. Just trying to see where people's heads are at

I think art is the only true record of the human experience

RE: Help me..... From this hell.....can't suicide
Probably consult a doctor. Preferably a therapist. Get whatever help you can. You could also exercise (if you aren't already), change your diet, sleep less.. or more. Talk to people. I know these are probably generic responses, but they might help if you give them a shot.

Do you think adhering to culture is important?
Whether it be your country's culture, internet subcultures, racial subcultures, whatever, do you think it's important to adhere to cultural norms?
