Is painting or drawing better?

I prefer to draw than paint. It's easier to me.

I do both, but, I like drawing better.. more stable and better control.. if I want to paint, I normally do airbrush to ge that illusive fades.. Badger is a great airbrush for that.. but my favorite is still drawing.. first with pencial, and then follow it with ink.

Same painting is hard to do on paper. I wasn't good in that from begin with. But in digital drawing I like painting.

@Raye Changing the question to what’s more difficult: painting or (realistic) drawing?
It depends on the artist, the skills needed for painting and photo realism aren’t interchangeable for the most part.
Painting heavily relies on strong shapes and edge contrast to look good while realism is more of a rendering and attention to detail kind of thing.
Both of them are very difficult to do but I find realism to be more difficult just because it’s so boring to do. Reality sucks, why would I want to draw that? I’ll stick to my shitty anime girls with boobs the size of their head, thank you very much. :cat_face_with_wry_smile:
In short - Both are easy. Both are hard.
You can draw or paint triangles. It's not difficult.
You can try to paint a hyperrealist can of coke.
Compared to drawing a Pikachu that's like designing the Titanic.
But then you can try to paint a realistical Pikachu and that's the difficult one.
So... It depends what you think when you say those things.

@Im-bad33 cool I haven't tried digital drswing yet

Painting is sth benevolent to earn a living from too and one could take as side business if ue trust your flair with it. Just keep in mind the category of your interest, mention sth like wild life and mind the quality of paint to apply too for your depictions as some just dwindle so easily. If ue apply an absolute paint, you can wait for that festive season when the demand is elevated to vend it. It's a delightful opportunity honestly texting yet requires some diligence but ue could dart it up with some exhibitions if you're perfect at interconnections with people. Once sold, a eye-catching painting could generate you some delightful income depending on the price you go for and as for drawings, they nice too but if you more into painting, you could use these to polish your operations.
