You smile and ask how I am
I smile and say I’m fine
But you never peer too deeply
You never get too close
If you cared you’d notice
That the smile isn’t real
That there is no warmth
In my eyes
That there is only darkness
And that inside I’m
Screaming crying
I’m hurting and suffocating
That all I feel is Emptiness and Pain
I hold tightly to my mask
I don’t want you to see
That I’m not okay
That really I just want to
Feel alive inside
I don’t want you to see
But why can’t you see
That under my fair facade
Under this mask you see
That I’m truly Broken Inside
