Yeah it is
90% fail to answer this question.
-
6÷2(1+2) = ?
-
The answer is one

@ragnar-lothbrok I think it's 9. According to order of operations, do the equation in parenthesis first. In that case the equation in parenthesis is 1+2=3. Then do the equation in exponents (there are no exponents so you can skip that). Then do the equation in multiplication (there is no multiplication, so you can skip that as well). Then do the equation with division, which is 6/2=3. Then you have to do addition and subtraction which we can skip because we don't have any addition or subtraction equations. Then, from there it's pretty simple because you just have to multiply 3*3=9.

@katie_15 exactly
-
@ragnar-lothbrok Thanks!
-
@ragnar-lothbrok they're actually both possible, i looked it up. 1 is the answer using the old sequence, while 9 uses the modern one. So they're both possible answers.
-
- I think that 99% get the answer right. And i think that yoy used 90% instead of another percentage as a hint that the answer is 9
-
@jamjam yeah i tried that too it gave me both answers, but i used calculator and it gave me 9. I guess it uses modern way
-
@ragnar-lothbrok guess im old school lmao
-
@jamjam damn u are XD
-
@alwaysstranger yah i just used that trick as a challenge XD
-
-
@mario-fan mmhh how
-
@ragnar-lothbrok first the brackets so
1+2=3
6/2=3
3+3=6 -
@mario-fan oooh u used BODMAS
-
@ragnar-lothbrok ofc. thats how you solve it. unless there are other methods required to be used. but thats the usual one.
-
@mario-fan it's 3×3 not 3+3
-
@mario-fan any empty space between 2 values means "multiplied by"
-
@alwaysstranger i could have said 33 because there is no "multiplied by" xD
