Idk if this is a good site to like uhmm is it a good outlet?
I haven't been back here for a long time and haven't posted in a while too. Been composing songs which are really a lot of unfinished songs. I mean, I'm no singer but I do try hard. Trying and trying despite my over shyness and low confidence. I shake and fear the people when I perform and it kinda gives anxiety to me. I don't even have any instrument to play and I feel not so supported by people around so yeah its really difficult for me to express and speak out. What else can I say? I'm thinking mostly about my career and stuff nowadays. *sigh

TWS is a strange place I'd say. For everything good you write you'll get around 1 to 20 upvotes. Things age fast here. So if you're looking for acknowledgement it'll be kinda hard to get that from TWS. Youtube is prolly much better in that regard for collection "upvotes" if you're any good... But the downside with that is, that as a shy person the youtube audience might even be too big... also youtube comments can be quite harsh
I'd recommend working on the "lot of unfinished". You'll get a lot out of bringing something to completion and giving it the final touch. It means a lot to know from repeated experience that you're able to finish things and polish them. This in itself is good for your confidence. It'll help you deal with the feedback in a better way.
Also, and that might be the scary part, it defeats the excuse "I could have done it if I really tried" and means taking up proper responsibility for your work (your music).
So... Do it. Make something out of it. And then see how people react. Then ask for critique, constructive critique, e.g. negative critique that's not just bashing but telling you that there was a bad notch and that this wasn't good enough, or whatever people say. Then fix it. Ask again. Keep going up against that wall and against those fears, until you have overcome your fear and become pretty good at this music thing or can give up on it saying: YES, I really tried, and it was good!
