Therapy is a hoax
-
I feel like therapy is a hoax, where everyone thinks that only through therapy you can fix yourself, so it deludes yourself into thinking that only through therapy you can be fixed. And since u cant afford therapy, you'll never be fixed. At the end of the day, the only person that can fix yourself is you, but are u willing to put in the effort to do it?
-
I didn't think this day would come, but I have to agree with you :o
I also think therapy can never fully fix things... I mean it can help but at the end of the day only YOU can do something for yourself  -
@Lurker bitch I only was here like this week lol
-
@Lurker and true true very true
-
@Chicken-meat said in Therapy is a hoax:
@Lurker bitch I only was here like this week lol
But you managed to hate me with all your guts <3 :joy:
jk jk!
-
@Lurker I dont hate anyone lol, my soul is too empty for that, although I can say I seriously dislike certain ppl, which is not u btw.
-
People need therapy, otherwise Channel 4 wouldn't show five episodes of Fraser before 9AM.
-
@Indrid-Cold lol, Im tryna link the pieces here, so u need therapy because u've been binge watching fraser in the morning instead of sleeping? Shouldnt u just like sleep earlier the previous night instead
-
I think therapy fits a purpose as a way for people to talk to someone who is willing to unconditionally listen to the other persons thoughts and problems. However, I do not think therapy solves any problems by itself.
-
@Dobelius true, but if only for that its really not worth the money, Im not sure if going for ones that cost money is any better, but all the free ones I tried, with one she did a great job in asking questions and just listening and understanding me, making me make the choices in the end, which made me realized at the end its all up to me and quit from 3 sessions, thank God it was free tho, cos I didnt wanna fork like minimum 80 dollar a session for somethig that "might" help me mentally, but surely not help me fininacially.
-
well i dissagree i think therapy helps alot, beacuse a normal person tries to help you into a better functioning life, and i think medication helps alot when it comes to functionen better
-
@Chicken-meat why need therapy when you can open up to someone who you trust more than a doctor?? It's all in the mind, ya know~
-
@Kakashi ..hmm..I dont know about that lol, sometimes professionals are really needed more than someone that could be in an even worse state giving advice. Like the blind leading the blind. But at the end of the day, its good moral support, therapy is supposed to be for serious serious issues that cant be helped with just a listening ear.
-
@Chicken-meat and here i thought experience and a kind heart solves all~
-
@Kakashi that would describe a therapist lol..genuine ones, and not the blood money hungry ones.
-
@Chicken-meat maybe, yes; but i aint a big fan of therapy, coz i didn't really need one, i got my friends for that xD
-
@Kakashi thank God u dont lol, I still feel it would be a waste of money. But maybe Im part of the serious serious category 😂 or is it all in my head, and just have to push forward.
-
Once I devoted a lot of time to other people's thoughts about me. In fact, it only made things worse. I tried to be good for everyone, not for myself. Once I just threw it all away and took care of my health and nerves. Here is what i thought about this. Do only what makes you feel better. This is the right choice.

@Chicken-meat and @Lurker , yes. In maybe....39% of the US male population, therapy is wasted. But. That is like saying "Tiger Woods is great at all sports." and being confused when Woods can't throw a 54 yard pass. What is therapy to you @Chicken-meat? @Lurker
Group therapy? Council? Art therapy? Not all are same, but it IS needed to get up off your arse to use self-help or lying on a Psychologist's couch. -
This discussion happened in Feb and I don't remember a thing and I cba to.read it again 😂
