TWS website freezing
-
As of lately, TWS website has been taking forever to load/freezes everytime a new notification comes in / I refresh the page. It takes so long that I end up getting this error message:
Anyone else having this problem? Would appreciate some feedback
@Admins @Global-Moderators
-
@Lurker i never get it , so might be your local problem , you can try : using linux [obviously] , turn off notifications , use firefox instead of google chrome and that's about it
-
Thanks for the feedback but I would much rather keep my windows :joy:
As for the browser choice I did try others and they all end up freezing endlessly. Turning off notifications would result in the same result, right? :p -
@Lurker well you can format your drive , delete your cookies and cache [may i suggest using bleachbit to delete all of that] , try the ultra light SeaMonkey browser , get a better internet , if not : connect your computer to ethernet cable , TRY REMOVING KEBAB , update your drivers and flash etc. , reinstall your O.S
-
That's a whole load of oof!
This windows installation is 2 weeks fresh and works perfecly in all websites but this one :joy:
I keep my cookies and cache cleaned every week on my weekly pc clean maintnance :o
My internet is 200mb connected with a gigabyte ethernet cable.
All drivers and stuff are up to date! I'm completely clueless  -
@Lurker how old is your computer? , and what software do you use ?
-
I built it 2 years ago. The instalation is new cuz I bough a new graphic, memory ram and m3 storage. Im running a w10 pro
-
@Lurker may be because windows sucks try installing any linux distro [suggested mint] and running it in a virtual machine [suggested virtualbox] and try running TWS on the preinstalled firefox ,
-
@Lurker alternatively try to use the Brave Browser which blocks ads , trackers and is overall good and based on chrome
-
Thanks for the feedback, im trying out the new browser :D
-
@Lurker i find sometimes that the pub chat window doesnt open correctly, i have to refresh two, sometimes three times to get the full picture. :/
Maybe it is down o local network traffic? -

@Durwin and @TheRisingSun
It would make sense as when I browse TWS from work nothing happens and when I browse at home both desktop and mobile show the same signs of freezing.

@Lurker It's unlikely but are you connected wirelessly to a 2.4ghz network? And using bluetooth at the same time? This used to slow my internet speeds down because BT uses the same 2.4 ghz band as the wifi.
Solution: switch to 5ghz wifi with a usb dongle if your router is capable of 5ghz or get rid of the BT and go wired. -
My desktop connects with a ethernet cable, my phone uses wireless. Even when all deskops using ethernet cables are off, TWS still freezes. It's important noting that ONLY this website has this behavior :p

@spaceboy yeah , linux can fix everything
-
@Lurker did u find any fix or its still freezing?
-
Still freezing :p

I have a problem, that might be related: I have to complete a CAPTCHA every time I go to tws. I only have this problem with tws.
It even happens during sessions. My suspicion about why it happens during sessions is that the javascript on TWS behaves like a bot: too many requests, some with timeouts because my connection is not exactly stable.
