What are things Mods should do and should not do?
-
Exam is over so its time to post again lol
If you have knowledge about what mods should and should not do please feel free to post π
If you have experience how they are being so helpful you can share that too. π
It's free to speak your mind.. lol

@sunshinef Mods have helped me out a TON on here. They have been absolute life savers to me. As far as what they shouldn't do, I am curious to that as well.
-
@calisthenics Time to get jacked, Cali! Pump people up!

@calisthenics thanks Cali! I've missed you π help @morf to exercise every morning so he won't fall asleep even after he just woke up lol

What about serial upvoters?
You guys upvote each other its not wrong or illegal,
And once you cross 50 rep, doesn't matter how far you go, rep changes nothing.
But downvoting someone without a cause can actually harm his morale and they might stop posting content on TWS.
And that would not benefit the website.
So interventions are needed for negative stuff.

@morf Hi wc back.

what is your job description as a mod?
Basically keep TWS clean and running..
that includes dealing with spammers, excessive trolls, hate mongers, serial downvoters, and helping regular users.
Its not an exhaustive list but a small jist.
:)
I want everyone to be serial downvoters and spam me downvotes so I can break a negative record :p hehe!
-
@obviouslylucifer Wait, I need to find out what a bio is, lol. Brb
-
@sunshinef said in What are things Mods should do and should not do?:
@obviouslylucifer so how do you select? Are there matrix you use to evaluate applicants?
Its simple;
- You apply
- Admin checks if new mods are needed.
- Admin checks if you are worthy.
- Admin or someone talks to people to see if you are a troll or a fanatic.
- If you pass admin makes you a mod.
-

And I'll try to help TWS by simply being active and upvotes people who deserves it. Especially the content of their post.But I don't usually come on here and do these posts, threads, topics, whatever this stuff is called. I just blindly upvote everything when a friend asks, I never actually bother to read anything usually, lol.
-
@obviouslylucifer wow Lucifer..... I am liking how your brain works lol. You have sense. π Going to check that link now π I like dialogue to be honest..

@therisingsun what about eat cow's penis? π
That's what your dick will look like 1 year after meeting your hot babe, she'll feed it to you

@morf speaking of interacting with mods.. What's your idea.... Do you think its okay to be known as mods or its better be anonymous? You know.. There are pros and cons...
But very true that there are pros and cons. I don't like the idea of people changing their behavior if they know a mod is present, like someone would do in front of a cop or something. Mods keep the peace and keep the place running, but I want them to enjoy themselves and have a good time like everyone else who doesn't have that burden or responsibility.
I am being hypocritical though because in the past my behavior has changed in the presence of mods. I would start trying to cause trouble just to see what I could get away with, mainly just for meanness :p Haha
-
@sunshinef Hi wc back.
-
@obviouslylucifer All mods giving free hugs would be great! :) :p
-
@morf oh yeah... I think i know what you are talking about. But I wonder if that's what they should really do. If it's really what moderator's description of work.
