Electing Trump just goes to show that the republican policy of keeping education from the masses is to their benefit. It wwould be embarrassing for intelligent and well educated people to elct a man like that as their leader.

He's an incredibly manipulative speaker (albeit not eloquent) and knows exactly what to say to invalidate anything used against him (a trait he mastered during his WWE years).
