  • @Div I'm an enthusiast of esoterism and from what i've gathered so far, they've always been two, sometimes three generations ahead of it's time when it comes to knowledge and technology... although recently it seems like their focus is one other than technology, I cant really deny something weird is, were and probably will ever go on beneath the sheets of esoterism...

  • @Div I'm not that deep, as that would require for me to get inside one "esoteric order"... as is the nature of those "organizations". I got a glimpse of this unknown world by studying a lot of philosophy and Psychology and also being very, very attentive and skeptical.

    @Div
i'm sorry, but i simply can't agree with any of this :D

there is definitely some hidden knowledge out there, but i wouldn't agree that there is a vast global conspiracy to hide revolutionary & futuristic technology from common people. such knowledge would be extremely hard to keep under wraps without any legitimate information leaking out.
i mean, we've had credible whistleblowers from within the system (snowden/assange/manning) leak very sensitive information about things like global surveillance, so it's not as if the governments of the world are particularly good at hiding their secrets.

now, the nazis did have members who were occultists (himmler, rosenberg), but their beliefs were never accepted into mainstream party ideology. i'm not sure the vril society ever really existed, i believe it's a made-up thing. the thule society of esoteric nazis did exist, but their influence over nazi germany was zero.

dmt won't open any portals to new dimensions. it's just a psychoactive molecule that causes hallucinations by altering brain chemistry for a brief time. also, i find it hard to believe that nazis were under the influence of hallucinogens during war & peace. there are no records that would prove that. the article you linked mentioned some nazis taking meth & opioids, neither of which cause hallucinations.

also, bob lazar is a known con man. he claimed to hold degrees from several colleges which were later found to be fraudulent. most of his claims concerning area 51 have been disproven, so i wouldn't rely on him for any legitimate information

  • @Ghost-Div Are you joining the conspiracy theorists now? :yum:

This is the normal way that technology develops. First of all the ones taking the drugs tended to be the Nazis, not their scientists. For under drugs, yes even ioasca, you cannot actually work or do science :joy:

The germans had many advanced technologies back than, developed by people who were already there before the Nazi took power. I mean just take Werner von Braun or Einstein. If the Nazi's had not driven out / killed all the Jews then the german's would have had the atomic bomb first ...

What I'm saying is: it was the time for these things. Like the telephone that was developed almost at the same time by two people on two very different parts of the globe.

With VR we have another kind of thing happening. Spatial perception (3D seeing with two eyes) was already well understood by the greeks over 2000 years ago. If it wasn't already a thing, I'd have thought of this myself. I mean who wouldn't think of VR once he has seen a videogame? Okay most of the population... But I certainly would have thought of it

The reason why VR is only becoming big right now, is the same reason as why computers only started to become big in the 90s: they were too slow to be fun :joy:

For most people the world seems to change super fast, with a new technology every month. But to me, it really isn't. Every computer still works the same way Alan Turing defined it during the 1940s. Nothing really changed. Everything just becomes faster. And now we have reached a speed, at which VR is actually fun to use.

Also artificial intelligence has only become interesting in our time through the speed of computers nowadays. And of course I mean the stupid artificial intelligence we have today, not a general intelligence which nobody knows yet how that could even work... Heck we have not the slightest idea how conscience actually works, it's the weirdest freaking thing out there!

And about that drug thing: we stopped investigating those after some eerie results in the 60s and 70s. I'm totally curious as to what we are going to discover in the next decades as this kind of research is becoming popular again.

    Good point.

now, the nazis did have members who were occultists (himmler, rosenberg), but their beliefs were never accepted into mainstream party ideology. i'm not sure the vril society ever really existed, i believe it's a made-up thing. the thule society of esoteric nazis did exist, but their influence over nazi germany was zero.

Actually Hitler himself was quite the occultist. He collected several relics, like the spear of longinus he took from vienna. Believed those would make him win and bring the 1000 year long reich (see book of Apocalypse in the bible). The occultists definitely had great influence over nazi germany, but they did not share their occult knowledge with the populus. Occultists never do that :joy:

dmt won't open any portals to new dimensions. it's just a psychoactive molecule that causes hallucinations by altering brain chemistry for a brief time.

It has some strange effects you know. First of all the beings that people encounter are strangely similar (from one person to the other). There are two types of experiences: either heavenly or hellish. If you have those experiences you also seem to lose your fear of death.

But yeah, it certainly doesn't open any portals.

It's not too hard though to test wether those are just halucinations in your brain or wether you actually connect with something outside. You simply ask all the people who test the drug, to tell the "beings" a secret. Every person you "send in there" you give a different secret. And you ask the following person to ask those beings for the secrets of other people you sent in there. If you can actually get something back, then at least we've discovered some form of thelepacy. Or a fraud :joy:... But, so far I don't think any scientist really would check this hypothesis, for the scientific body is a bit prejudiced against the "supernatural". Nobody wants to put his head on the line for this. But I mean, it itches under my fingers, and it would be one of those things you'd be able to write a book about and get rich :joy:

also, i find it hard to believe that nazis were under the influence of hallucinogens during war & peace. there are no records that would prove that. the article you linked mentioned some nazis taking meth & opioids, neither of which cause hallucinations.

Are you educated about that? I think it's at least in the realm of the possible...

also, bob lazar is a known con man. he claimed to hold degrees from several colleges which were later found to be fraudulent. most of his claims concerning area 51 have been disproven, so i wouldn't rely on him for any legitimate information

    yap.

@Thales_BG esotericism is a fairly new field for me, but from what I've read so far, godamn it packs the punches.

How deep are you into the esoteric rabbit hole? And what got you started?

Don't dive into that hole man, start digging with a good old (scientific) spade. Verify all hypothesis, and stay skeptical.

It's not only the esotericists who are ahead of time. Have you read 1984? The only difference between what's written in there and modern day china is, that modern day china is actually worse. Or take Jules Vernes novels. Artists are always ahead of time, decades. And then... look at art today. I don't want to live in the future :scream:
