• Sitting here in church watching my best friend's dad's dead body. Looking at each and every person who is crying mourning for him.

Death is certain, no one can stop them but what is it that makes everyone cry and mourn. Because they are gonna miss that person? Or is it that they won't be able to see that person anymore?

People who never cared about the person will be seen crying during death. Why is that? Why do you even drop a tear when you never cared about that person? Never came to see him when he was in death bed?

Isn't it selfish? Isn't it showing off?

I believe this world we are is a simulation where death is an exit.
After that, your memories are erased, made your conscious clean, given the new body and new character somewhere else on this simulation world your back. And you start playing that character till you die again.
Somewhere someone controlling all these characters we call as GOD. Seeing this laughing at us.

Death is inevitable but not the end. It's a new beginning of life somewhere else in this so-called earth.

well, to be honest with you, all life comes to an end, even if it sounds sad, it's the truth

    Can I say both eh?

Rather to say never came to see him when he was alive

  • First of all, sorry about your mate's dad.

I'm not sure about death being just, "Holodeck, end program", tho. It doesn't seem very resource-effective on God's part. I don't think He'd find any of this particularly mirthful, either, unless he has a very sophisticated sense of humour --and if He has, that's not a bad thing is it? Bojack Horseman won't last forever: we need some new genres in comedy.

Beyond that, who is to say that death even exists? It could be fake news. You could say, 'Oh, you didn't exist before you were born - when you die, it'll just be like returning to that'. And yet I've had a sense of momentum all my life. Maybe it came from somewhere before I was born.

I am Indrid Cold. I WILL GO TO ZA'HA'DUM, BUT I WILL NOT DIE.

I would still say on death bed. because at least when you know the person is going to die should have the courtesy to see that person meet and talk.

People mostly won't care about people who are alive. They always have some ego that keeps them away.

  • @PyroDox Exactly let's just say people are really plastic and a user. They should've visited that person when he still strong and alive. Why they need to visit him when his foot is on the risk? it doesn't make sense at all.

  • @PyroDox This is a really, really great topic. It made me think. To answer the question, I believe that death is inevitable; it holds the most power. Time holds the most power. No matter how rich or how powerful one may be, death will eventually find them. I guess it’s regret, the tears that fall down the cheeks of a person who didn’t even care could be regret... realisation. Their attention could suddenly have been brought to the deceived person after so long of being oblivious to them. They could have suddenly been struck with pity and regret of not paying attention to them while they were alive. So yeah that’s what I think causes the change of attitude.

And, may your friend’s father rest peacefully.

May your mate's dad rest in peace, it's never an easy task to lose a dad, no matter what kind of relationship you've had with him.

    Death is certain

As we currently stand, death is indeed certain and inevitable (unlike Thanos...), but in the future that is an uncertainty as a few years ago scientists found a fish that never gets old, his cells never grow old and thus making him immortal or rather "cheat" time. As he is never immortal since he can still be killed. If humans can achieve such ways, I bet a whole new branch of discussion would open up as to people deciding if they wanted to leave or keep living, for instance.

But as we stand now, death will take us one by one eventually.
But us, humans, often misjudge the worth of some ppl and things and only realize how much they mean to us when they are gone. I doubt a person that never cared for another will cry for him/her unless they are twisted or someone they trully care is struggling hard with this person death or they didn't realize they cared that much about the dead person. Either of the options are valid, and I've been tho the second before. Someone that meant the world to me lost someone I didn't particularly liked nor disliked, In fact I might have even disliked the person and when the said person died and I've seen the person whom I cared struggle so bad, I couldn't help to feel sad and cry along.

Whatever makes us cry cuz of someone's death will always be the same, our human nature, being it humanly or tainted!
