• Mention your current every day carry loadout and explain why you need to carry them with you.

    I'll start with mine:
As i go mostly outside only for walks in the woods, i rarely have anything with me.
The usual loadout for me is no keys, no phone, no wallet. Just nothing.
Sometimes, when i feel suspicious, i carry my dagger knife with me on a leather belt.
And if i go to the city, i might take my Walther PPQ with me.
Everything is concealed carry, of course.
I carry them in order to defend myself if anything happens. Like a robbery or attempted rape.
I used to be a survival prepper.
So that sort of mentality is still going on with me.

  • @Karina-Kara

  • @Karina-Kara

Usually I don't need any safety measures where I live now because here I rarely go out and if I would go out that will be a field ....no need of safety there......

But seeing our question it carries me to a place named mount Abu . I actually went there to represent my school in inter school football match....The school was situated between the hills with jungles on both sides where wild bear lived..In that school even the washroom for us was near a fenced area just separating the jungle from the school . And above all of that you know the rumours which spreads like fire .There was a humour about a child of bear seen there and usually it is said that a mother bear don't leave their cubs alone so the mother may be near and that made the situation worse.. Once one of my friend needed to use the washroom quite urgently and we were like we would not go with you ,sought out your private matter yourself😂😂but still he was our buddy ,we can't let him go alone and we too didn't had any sticks or anything cause it was not allowed in school premises ..so the question arose what to do😧so at last we broke all the woods of the bed 😂😂 accompanied him to the washroom and then we were back safety ......hurrahhhh.....but the sad part was that we were fined was breaking the school premises and we also got a trophy of most undisciplined team😂😂😂😂

    It is a true incident😂😂

  • @Karina-Kara This is quite a unique question (for me) and hence I would like to answer it.
I cannot prepare individually or specifically for every outing that I go on but the one common life-skill that I carry along in all my outdoor excursions is my years of self-defense combat training which includes karate and a bit of MMA, in later years. Those skills coupled with everyday natural outdoor training i.e. running, kicking, landing punches, sit-ups etc. along with a presence of mind keeps me in good stead to fight-off any sudden untoward predicament.
Its not always winning that matters for me though, the important thing is to fight till the last breath. I will rather die with honour, with my last action being remembered as putting up a brave fight, than being a coward and living with a lifelong regret of not putting up enough fight.

  • It's weird. Like everyone else, I'm disgusted by the wave of stabbings currently sweeping the UK - but that doesn't stop me being a complete hypocrite by carrying a (highly illegal) 6" electrical knife (plus, of course, the ubiquitous Victorinox).

If things go too far south, viz-a-viz total civil breakdown? I've got a full-on Rambo knife and Samurai sword under my bed. Thinking of investing in a crossbow, too, while they're still legal.

  • @Indrid-Cold
    Oh, yes.
I forgot to mention that everything i carry with me outside of my premises is not allowed.
    Especially in public localities.
You need to break the law multiple times in order to feel somewhat safe nowadays.
    Europe, am i right?

Best postings here so far on TalkWithStranger.

  • Illegal locking pen knife and a footlong can of deodorant, makes a good blunt instrument because it's full but also doubles up as a pepper spray.

  • @Yeah-I-guess
Don't forget the zippo and you have crafted a portable, low-range flamethrower!

  • @Karina-Kara I do normally carry a lighter too, I didn't think of that!
