Inviting applications for the post of Global Moderator III

Based on recent events, inactive moderators have been relieved from their positions, in order to provide an opportunity to new active users who can support us with their contribution to the maintenance of the site.
As done in the previous calls, the new moderators for the people will be chosen by the people.
A set of viable candidates will be chosen by us, and users will vote for the final moderators.
We are in need of 3 to 4 new moderators.
Requirements:-
1000 reputation
-
Activity and good presence in topics/posts, with quality content.
-
Awareness of the community rules.
Time slot and nationality of the candidates wonยดt be taken into account.
Users can recommend those people they consider appropriate for the position, (although it would be preferable that they applied themselves).
Elections will be conducted by anonymous voting so feel free to apply.
Applications are now closed.

'The people' merely get the illusion of having a hand in picking the candidate they want. no matter who they pick, it will always be a candidate YOU want. Thus mods ARE chosen before hand.

Admitted i gave you the idea of doing things this way, it's in our DM hmm.For the last 3 terms, people have applied and mods have been elected by people for themselves.
I can think of 1 mod that got elected behind the scenes without going through this process, AFTER this 'system' was in effect. @DayShifter
He's a nice guy and a good mod, i would have voted for him anyway but fact of the matter is, he was never elected by the people, you took a backdoor on this one.Fact is, people here have zero power, they can only hope the candidate they want to vote for is in the list.
I bet I'll never even make it to that list, nor do i want to anymore.
Imagine i get elected LOL, we wouldn't want that now would we, Mr Lucifer. -

There was a time when current mods used to recommend names and then admin would choose the people he thought were capable of the responsibility.
For the last 3 terms, people have applied and mods have been elected by people for themselves.
The only people who think this system doesn't work are
- Trolls who just like causing trouble.
- Spammers who get mad at mods for banning them.
- Conspiracy nutjobs who think everything has a secret theory.
As for you @sup you were gone for a long time and you have never seen either of the elections in action, so I implore you to give this system a chance instead of making conspiracy theories about it right away.
If anyone has any problem regarding the process @Global-Moderators will always be happy to help you out.
