How long would it take to get to mars traveling at the speed of light?

The speed of light. Light travels at approximately 186,282 miles per second (299,792 km per second). Therefore, a light shining from the surface of Mars would take the following amount of time to reach Earth (or vice versa): Closest approach: 182 seconds, or just over 3 minutes.

@GirlNextDoor Without googling it, if I remember roughly correctly... I think our best efforts are in the region of 7 years...
So this would lead me to think that by the speed of light, maybe a few days....
Since (trying to remember back to my school days) I think light takes around 24 hours to reach Earth.
So it would make sense to be 48 to 60 hours .....

I laugh at movies about Mars where radio comms with earth are instantaneous but in reality it takes 20 mins each way
