What are things Mods should do and should not do?
-
@sup that's vague. 😂

what is your job description as a mod?
Basically keep TWS clean and running..
that includes dealing with spammers, excessive trolls, hate mongers, serial downvoters, and helping regular users.
Its not an exhaustive list but a small jist.
:)
I want everyone to be serial downvoters and spam me downvotes so I can break a negative record :p hehe!
-
@obviouslylucifer helping regular users.. In what ways? What about serial upvoters?? 😈

@spoofer has that record,
he has -200 rep.
And as you lose rep, you also lose privileges like
- You cannot downvote other once below 50 rep
- You cannot flag spammer and trolls below 30 rep
- You cannot change your own bio once below 0 rep.
So its a desire with not so good consequences.
-
@morf hey.. That's my plan too.. I want negative reputations!!
-
@obviouslylucifer Wait, I need to find out what a bio is, lol. Brb
-
@obviouslylucifer awww... I want to have thousands negative reputations!! Dang it.
-
@morf hahha bio is profile!! Lol

(mod to the rescue) -
@sup hahhhhhahaha ha... Nice one super Mod lol
-
@sunshinef said in What are things Mods should do and should not do?:

You guys upvote each other its not wrong or illegal,
And once you cross 50 rep, doesn't matter how far you go, rep changes nothing.
But downvoting someone without a cause can actually harm his morale and they might stop posting content on TWS.
And that would not benefit the website.
So interventions are needed for negative stuff.
-

Ahh! But I like customizing it and stuff! Forget what I said about downvotes, lol.
One day I do want to see a -10k rep person become a mod. Wait maybe that wouldn't be as funny as I think it would be. That would remind me of Trump getting elected president, lol.

Agreed.

-10k rep person become a mod.
There were too many applicants so the current threshold to apply is raised to 1000 rep.
You can apply either way and if you are good enough you get chosen.
Its just the 1000 rep threshold helps us weed out the non serious candidates,
because its a fashion to apply for mod post on day 1.
:)
-
@obviouslylucifer ohh so spam upvotes is okay. Hihihi 😈😈😈😈 I like upvoting people than getting upvotes. @therisingsun conditioned me to upvote post.. Aggrrr.. Lol #classicalConditioning

Hey, I mean no offense at all, I promise. But doesn't that just sound like a popularity contest?

His dream of 1k rep is complete,
Now his next dream is to get 100,000 points so he upvotes a lot of people too!
-
@obviouslylucifer so how do you select? Are there matrix you use to evaluate applicants?
