Is it possible to give ourselves a second chance?

Second chances are hard to give, especially if the pain you’ve felt was too much to handle. He cheated on me, I saw it by myself, with my naked eyes. I can still remember that day, the pain was stabbing me so hard. And I hate him so much, but a part of me still misses him. I guess I still love him. Just last week, we had an unexpected meeting, He approached me and asked for forgiveness. He said he wants to mend things, even asked for a second chance. Until now, he still insist of being with me again. Is it even possible for us?

@secondchance27 I know it's hard to give a second chance but let your heart decide. Everyone deserves second chances because we're not perfect at all. If you still love him, give him another chance because life's too short to be alone and lonely.
