"Dress in Distress" by Martin Amis.
If you could choose to live in a book's world, which book would you choose to live in? ;)
-
I'd probably choose a childhood book, something fantastical 🌌
-
Romeo and Juliet as Juliet Capulet by Shakespare
Still searching for Romeo :) -
A Court of Thorns and Roses
-
i haven't read any books like that, what do i do ?
-
Roald Dahl - The Witches
-
It may sound cliché but id like to be in the harry potter universe, i love the idea of a school of magic.
-
Gonna have to say harry potter or lord of the rings
-
I'd write ma own book and live in, no matter how good any other book is ya are still not the protagonist and not even one of the side characters, ye'd have no plot armor and no amazing abilities even if ya lived in a fantasy world so ye'd most likely be the farmer who died to a goblin attack rather than the knight who slays the dragon but if the book exactly tailored made fer ya then ya can be and do whatever ya want
-
@arch-leefield true but it's more the world that it's about. F.e. lord of the rings bc there are all these magical creatures, dragons, hobbits and elves... Gandalfs... So what would be special in your taylor made book?
-
@ella-wayton here's the thing, nothing's gotta be unique ta make something special, i'd probably just write about a world like ours with a few minor changes here and there, i mean this universe is pretty crazy and exciting in it's own right
-
@arch-leefield nice attitude towards life! 👍
Any idea what the minor changes might be? -
@ella-wayton meh, maybe stuff like me being richer lol and also make writers the most desirable occupation in the world just so i can have more books to read inside my own world, and just to please my ego i'd have a few countries named after me lol (i mean if i had the chance then i might as well take it) i also thought about removing problems and diseases like cancer and terrorists from the world but that would mean it's no longer like our world and even if i did that if we assume it's gonna work like how our reality works then the utopia won't last that long anyway and even if it did then the world will become bland, the most perfect things are always filled with imperfections (i should quote that lol)
-
the holy bible please amen
-
@jynextremist then go ahead an read books like that lol, i'd recommend starting with something simple like treasure island (even tho the ending is a bit anticlimactic tho realistic)
-
@arch-leefield nopes i wont be able to, i have tried a lot of times but mostly i get bored after reading like 2 or 3 pages
-
@chim-chim XDDDDDD lol
-
@ella-wayton I hate BOOKS!!?
-
http://gravitytales.com/novel/how-to-avoid-death-on-a-daily-basis
Try that, it's a web novel and it is extremely amusing, i garruantee ya you won't get bored from it in a few chapters, although the story progress is a bit hectic it's the unique writing styles that makes it a favorite
-
that would be harry potter and to kill a mockingbird, i wanna befriends with Scout&Jem and not to mention, Boo Radley
-
I'd want to live in the world of the Wolves of the Beyond or Guardians of Ga'hoole.
