To make things easier for us, we decided to only count the number of downvotes(ignoring the upvotes because most of them were made using fake accounts.)

And in the first place, we didnt want any elections to happen because it creates drama and paves way for rebel (like us rebelling rn).

Congratz who made it to the team and I wish a better luck.next time to those who didn't. I ain't gonna side with anyone is this argument as I didn't personally see the results right after the time of the election was over, but there are a few factors that I think it must be improved in order to avoid pointless drama next election.
I think the election system works even tho is a bit flawed but even democracy IRL is flawed so we gotta find ways to improve it. Since I believe there is no way to check the time certain user upvoted or downvoted a certain post, the election post should be removed 24h or whatever time the election goes on for and when it's removed a screenshot should be taken this would prevent the "out of time" downvotes, also a screenshot should be taken as soon as the post is taken down. As for the non mod masses that are complaining you can take the same said screenshot so that you have proof on your side, as we all know mods admins and users are all human and not machines that can remove the topic exacly at the exact time.it should so that has to be taken in consideration.
One last thing, I've been part of the drama before and believe it or not it didn't help AT ALL, so no point in causing it, better to find mechanisms to avoid drama rather then go on about things that might be obvious or not so obvious.

An upvote counts just as much as a downvote imo. You vote for the person you want, and against the person you don't want. The outcome is still a good representation of who the users on this website chose as their mods. Not taking into account fake/double/triple accounts like yours. If they didn't want this to happen they should have made it a regular poll but then again the result are alot harder to tamper with.
