• Just wandering what type of person you are!?

For me, I like to help people when and where I can. I have often found myself in a position left with nothing (making life more difficult in the short term) due to assisting someone who needs the help more than me.
I'm not sure if that would qualify me to being a good samariton but I have been told it in the past.

So, how about you? whats your stance on this?

  • @mr-peanut I think it is selfish to help others when your help involves to violate their borders and doing it because you feel good about yourself.

  • @sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇʀ I understand your perspective on this. I was thinking more of helping at the request of other's rather than help for the sake of helping due to our on perspective :)

  • @mr-peanut You steal part of a person soul if you help then without allowing them to pay you back. I'm all about giving a person a chance to succeed. I would open a door for someone, and let them decide to walk through.

It's complicated, how much should you help, without causing more problems. Each situation is different. You're emotions may get the better of you in one situation, but another my not even register. Some people shout for help and no one hears them, others, abuse peoples with cries with despair just in order to get a free ride.

  • @green-archer said in Good Samaritan, someone who likes to help? or none of the above?:

 I never thought about the stealing of someones soul aspect of my question.
I agree with you about how much you should help. Although personally I don't help to receive, I help because people are in need of it. This has lead me to being used by those that only wish to take advantage in the past, and I have no doubt that it will in the future to.
You are also correct with how every situation is different. Until you are in the moment you can't really say as to how or why the help may be required

  • ideally? people shouldnt have to ASK for help... you see an old lady struggling with groceries? you go help her. your buddy doesnt know how to work on his car because he was raised a cuck? you fix it.... if everyone DID this like they should do? people would never have to ask for help. the problem today? is that lots of people love to GET help? and not return it... me personally? i'm ashamed to ASK for help. i am also ashamed if i dont OFFER when someone obviously needs it, and isnt asking.

  • @sedstar Thanks for your response, It is such a shame when you see people that need help , but do not recieve it.
On the other hand, it is also a shame when people abuse the kindness and generosity of others.
