Im having a crush on someone who once used to have a crush on me

So there's this guy who used to like me since high school days but was always a bit shy and awkward to talk to me... I didn't think of him in that way during those days... idk 7-8 years later the tables are turned. I can't stop thinking about him and I feel too nervous and awkward to talk to him.
Its not that I want to date him.. i know it wont work out.. yet, i cant stop thinking about him.. I dont know what to do?

How can you say a story can't work?
If you want to talk to him and get to know him better .. go ahead or you will live with regrets. Maybe nothing will be born, but who knows at least the friendship could last over time .. :)

Maybe that's the problem… past relationships. The end of one or more relationships does not indicate the end of everything. A cycle closes a new one opens. Maybe it's just fear of daring. If you think about him, if you like him and he likes you too .. give yourself a chance .. he could be the one :)

@Yongsi-Brook If you don’t do it now, then why live at all if you cannot follow what you wish for. In the future it would torture you and the thought “why didn’t I just do it” will live with you forever if you will still like that person. There is no secret sauce to it-recognise what you have to do and do it.

It gets really awkward and then you start ignoring the other person because you feel embarrassed 🤦‍♂️

There is nothing much you can do here. You can either confess to him and try to make it work(nothing wrong with trying) or suppress your feelings and move on

I am not sure tbh.. Maybe its just infatuation.. When we talked last year around Aug, we talked about our old school memories and out of curiosity I asked him why did he even liked me back then (cuz we barely ever talked in school) and when did he actually started liking me? I always thought it was 8th grade cuz thats when the rumors started coming to my ears bout him.. But he told me it was actually 2nd grade.. He started liking me since we were in 2nd grade.. He told me the reason too and it was something quite silly... I expected the reason'd be something special but bleh.. But i think from that time, just the idea that someone could like me for so long.. just the idea that someone could like me despite my flaws made me started to look at him differently when the truth is i dont even known if he even knows any of my flaws nor I know if he even still like me in that way...
I think i'm in love with that idea of love.. that idea of something beautiful that could happen between us... So yeah I'll take your advice and I'm not gonna ask him out.. I think i'll just move on or maybe just keep crushung on him from afar.. I dont want that idea of something beautiful to become something ugly... idk am I making any sense?

I know you said you were going to move on but I just saw this. Yes you deserve him. The past is the past. We make a lot of stupid decisions when we were younger and tbh I have been in the same situation as you. I get why you want to just move on as to not ruin the wonderful feelings and ideas you have now. Who knows maybe your paths will come together in the future :)
