I was lucky enough to avoid that situation
We have a small family business. Like, 1500$ a month for two people is enough to rent a flat, buy decent food and clothes (and you can even save some for other things)

i think you might have faced this kind of situation with your classmates not just one time. this is not definitely your biggest mistake..its just there biggest mistake and they don't know it ...there is no need to feel bad for this...its their lost.

You know people who've never experienced this don't understand how it's like to be in that place. Which means they don't see the world as it is. They won't be capable to help others in the same situation, because they simply don't see. You however, the next time you see another person in that same situation, you'll help them, take their side, you'll do good. Every experience is good, because from every experience you can grow and become a better person. Don't judge them, for they are blind. Be thankful that you can see.
