i don't think thats being rude,i think you are actually doing a favour to that person by not dragging their heart and love and hurting them by being so kind and courteous.

i think u r mean if you act like u give a damn and make their heart skip beats everytime they see you but in reality you have got no interest in them.

Way better to be straight up and make it clear that u are not interested instead of fishing them along, hell I think even slapping them because of the proposal would hurt less then making them think you have feelings and then telling them u dont later on. The faster you rip the band aid off the better. Fuck fake feelings.
