@littlesub When it is unforced, entered into through open and free-willed choice (no coercion) for the benefit of the worker, I'm all for it. The industry needs fully legalising, but regulating and made safe for all workers. I have friends who are/have been sex workers of various types (one is a porn actor of moderate reputation for whom I was Best Man at his wedding) and for many different reasons. It has never affected what I thought of any of them.

There is many theories.
From the view that pushes the legalization and normalization of prostitutes to the one that protects the women and punishes the ones that buys the service.
So politically speaking I think it should be regulated and legalized. That would take many women from the shadows of the streeets. Plus it will end the figure of the Pimp that might take advantage of them. -

Uhmmmmm I dont know anyone that has entered prostitution without an extreme need for money. So that "free will" I dont know if its indeed forced by an extreme situation.

@Dyn-Jarren I personally know 3 sex workers in different parts of the industry that started their careers of their own volition. All 3 had conventional jobs that provided them with a comfortable middle class lifestyle and they transitioned into the industry without an extreme need for money. They each had different reasons, but that a different conversation, just wanted to say that sometimes it does occur by free will.
