Well, at least you've owned up to your behavior. You're not entitled to her forgiveness just because you see the error of your ways, but neither should your value be based entirely on the opinion of others. If you're truly sorry, you won't make this miscalculation again and maybe down the road she might see that you've taken this to heart and might be willing to rekindle your 'friendship' - or maybe not, but at least you'll know not to make the same mistake twice.

I met my wife in 1955. I asked her to dance, then asked her to marry me. we had known each other twice round the dance floor when she said yes. i was on holiday from London she was a Cornish girl and never left the Duchy.She said yes we saved for a house, married married 6 months after we met. had two boys four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. I have never cheated on her and I adore her now even more than when we met and she has a disease which will take her from me, possibly quite soon and I am frightened.
