The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams is a great book. I saw it in first grade but couldn't read it. When I got to it - it made my day.

I read this book, that I believe is targeted to children in elementary, but it was a good one. It's called "WHEN YOU REACH ME". It is about a girl and how she finds a letter that stated a list of things. These items seem to be connected to her and her mom.
