  • I lost my best (and only) real friend recently to suicide and now I don't know what to do with my life (M16 UK) Help!

She was like a sister to me and we were incredibly close, but I am a social hermit and with losing her I feel like the only good thing in my life for 8 years has gone.

  • Mourn her. Let everything you feel about her rise to the surface, and live in that moment. Cherish what you had together, and feel sad about how this will follow you for the rest of your life. But do not stop living. Let it crash into you like wave after wave, until eventually it feels gentler. You'll always live with this, and I'm sorry. Just don't let it rule you forever, take the time you need to heal.

  • @Rayse this seems like really shit advise if you read my post...I am greaving for my best friend and am afraid to see anyone and you are just like "make some friends" f off... 😢

  • Find another like you who has lost someone to suicide because you would both appreciate each other. Preferably your own age and sex just to eliminate any distance.

  • Make some new friends

  • @Benjamin-Edwards yeah whatever

  • I'm so sorry, I really am. The only thing I can do is be here for you. I'm sure she was a great friend 😞

  • @Benjamin-Edwards so sorry for your loss, you can cry it all out and talk more about it if you want to. I am also suicidal so I guess I know how your friend truely feels and its not easy indeed. It's also hard to express yourself since you said you are a social hermit but for me, I guess the best way to let your pain all out is to have someone you can trust to talk to. You have your family there to support you as well, maybe try to find someone too. You really need to talk to someone who is trustworthy and capable of listening and understanding all your hurts as it eases your pain. If things get worse, you can always seek help from a professional since they know best. I hope this helps.
