@styles_ Martian. Its more engaging and less logically confusing. Not to say about the running time. The soundtrack of Interstellar was better though.

The Martian is closer to our reality, so it handles a greater plausibility, while many of Interstellar's arguments lack a scientific basis. On the other hand, Interstellar is a riskier film, combining cosmology and intimacy, while The Martian focuses on the survival instinct. Both movies are incredible, and honestly I can't decide on any of them.

Not sure about the soundtracks, but The Martian all the way ... I did like the unexpected weird twist to Interstellar tho .
