@Bushmurry has a wife and probably kids, he has experience we should listen to him on this one.

Thanks dude, married 6 years... no kids yet. Unless you count for all the ones I pay for out of my taxes because people went ahead and had kids they were not equipped to look after themselves

Let me give you a theoretical situation:

Your wife is pregnant, and she gets sick. The stress of carrying the baby to term and delivering it will probably kill her.

Do you abort the baby and keep the love of your life, who you vowed to protect and support through whatever life throws at you, regroup and try again when she is healthier?

Or do you take your chances with the person you do not yet know, and doom the love of your life knowing that you possessed the ability to save her, but wouldn't?

I cant doom the love of my life, when she is in critical condition and one of them must die to save the other one, then i will choose the love of my life to survive. But topic is about abortion, talking about couples who never use condoms and they end up aborting a child, to me thats a crime. They killed a child purposely while they had an option of using condoms

  • @bushmurry See that's insight!!!

  • I feel like I too late into the game but here's my opinion.

The abortion should be allowed in the case of unconventional pregnancy (rape, incest, or if the mother's child) or if the mother's life is at stake.

Excluding that, for all the other cases there are a few of things that we must consider.

    1. Is the mother willing to take of taking care of the baby?
If she is unwilling, then most probably the child would grow up to be abused and unloved. In the worst case scenario, the baby would die in the early childhood. If the mother is unwilling, someone close preferably someone blood-related should be willing to take care of it. If not, the child is just going to have a hard time during its childhood which will lead to depression and other issues in its adulthood.
    1. Is the State capable enough to properly raise a child?
If no one is willing/capable to raise the baby, then the state should take care of it and raise it and when I say properly, it means not just throwing them together with a bunch of other kids and just give them food and education. They must be able to analyze the needs and dreams of every individual child and at least give them means to cultivate them. They must also make sure that the child doesn't feel any loneliness and isolation.

if the answer to both the questions is false, then the abortion must be allowed for the sake of the child.

I'm disappointed no women have chimed in on this topic tbh.

  • @bushmurry They never do Bman...

  • i believe everyone has a right to life, infant, child, adult or senior citizens
you cant kill someone just because they are helpless weaker and is a liability to you,or because they are inconvenient to you..if you do..it called MURDER no matter how you try to clean it up with reasons .

the only situations you should resort to abortion should be-

1)when a pregnancy threatens the life of the mother

2)if by genetic testing it was found that the fetus is malformed or has a genetic defect that make its care exceptionally difficult for the parents lifelong (e.g. deformities, mental handicaps),and is difficult for the child too .

3)in case of rape, incest victims-i would say abort as soon as possible and if you can, try not to abort once the fetal heart sounds are heard (after 4-5 months of intrauterie life)-abortion in the case of rape and incest is solely dependent on the mother and what she wants to do.

other than these 3 conditions aborting a child because its life is inconvenient to you makes you a murderer and a monster.

    @Lucifer_

  • @khaleezi91 you said pregnancy was really shitty right(i used your description below)?
why put a woman through if she doesn't want to?

  • @lucifer_ IM AN INDIAN AND I FIND THAT A LOT OF INDIAN STREETS ARE DISGUSTING AND DIRTY AND POLLUTED
I FIND SOME CITIES IN INDIA OVERLY POPULATED
AND ITS SHITTY BECAUSE OVERCROWDING CAN CAUSE SPREAD MANY DISEASES LIKE TUBERULOSIS ,MENINGITIS ETC WHICH ARE SHITTY AND SERIOUS

AND ALSO MORE PEOPLE MEANS MORE WASTE MEANS A LOT MANY DISEASES SPREAD BY FOOD AND WATER

ARE YOU ASKING ME TO KILL ALL OF THEM AND MAKE IT CLEAN?

IN A FAMILY I KNOW THEIR GREATGRANDPA IS STILL ALIVE AND IS A TOTAL INCONVENIENCE..HE POOPS AND SHITS AND COUGHS ALL THE TIME,,...AND YEAH HE IS TAKEN CARE OF BY HIS DAUGHTER...ARE YOU ASKING HER TO KILL HIM AND FINISH IT OFF??

A WOMANS' BODY MAKEUP IS SUCH THAT SHE CAN WITHSTAND ALL OF THAT WHICH I HAVE MENTIONED AND THAT WHICH YOU HAVE QUOTED,WHEN YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BRING A LIFE (WHICH MAKES YOU ALMOST SECONDARY TO GOD) ,WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DESTROY IT? BECAUSE ITS INCONVENIENT?WHAT DOES THAT MAKE YOU?

  • i believe that abortion should be considered when its the life of the mother which is at stake. but im saying no to legalization of abortion because it will result to more recklessness and irresponsibility. dont want or not ready for a baby? sorry, face the consequence - lifetime with a kid depending on you. however theres also rape and abuse which may result to unwanted pregnancy... im sorry that happened, that they had to go through that, i might not be able to feel exactly their hatred and pain but i still dont believe in cutting off another life which was a result of something he was not at fault. give him away after 9mo and forget everything -- easy to say not easy to do i know but still

@khai if every girl thinks like you then baby girls weren't killed in mom's stomach..really impressive views..!

  • @khai pardon? From your statement, I get that meaning that a victim has to go through months of hatred and pain just to give away the baby and get a lifetime of regret in return.
You really have to choose between a moment of hesitation and a lifetime of regret.
Once you have that baby, the Mother simply can't abandon it without having regret. In the case of abortion, how many people are out there who regret this decision?

Are you sure the baby would grow up feeling loved and happy? Are you sure that it would be happy in its adulthood? If yes, only then giving them away could be even considered as an option. If no, then abortion is better for the sake of the baby. Why should it suffer for your mistakes/decisions?

  • @khai Okay. What if you choose to keep the baby?
Do you think the child would not wonder about his biological father? What if he finds out about his real father? If they somehow got their father's name, it means that he would be living with a mark of shame for a very long time. They would be witnessing his mother's trauma. It would affect them in two ways. They would either get really depressed or they would get really enraged and they may even try to seek revenge. It means that no matter what, all they get is despair.
It would even be worse if the mother starts to despise the child because it reminds her of its rapist father and the trauma she endured.

What did he/she do to live a life full of despair?

I must accept that there are exceptions to these but that doesn't mean everyone's an exception. It only fair to present abortion as an option to the mother instead of just forcing her to have the baby.

  • @sir-devil whether the mother choose to give her kid up for adoption or she decides to keep him because she cannot abandon him (which is more id prefer) how would you know that what theyll have is only a lifetime of regret?

definitely life is not going to be easy for them it will be harder especially growing up and theyll be constantly judged and frowned upon. the kid will hate how he was conceived, he will hate himself. he might hate her for her decision. and she will too at some time. or for a very long time. life is not perfect, theyd have deal with it. but itll get better. theyll just have to find their worth again and not let that mistake rule their lives for a lifetime.

i might be being idealistic but just to be clear im not gonna force a woman to keep a baby if they didnt want to, i would understand if theyd decide to not keep the child because of a rape -- people cope and try to survive life in different ways and deciding to keep or abort a child is a brave and hard decision (and very controversial -- thats why we have this post has over 80 comments) but still i will not legalize it -- not because of the rape issue but because of reckless people who would find abortion as a way to skip responsibility

That's a pretty big contradiction. I would assume that it is because you are not using the right words. It would have been better if you said that abortion should be "regulated". It would make more sense with your previous statement.

  • @khai

how would you know that what theyll have is only a lifetime of regret

Because even though she had to suffer while being raped and while she caring her baby, she had to give it up. She had to give up her baby. Her flesh and bones.

I must accept that some may not regret it but still

I must accept that there are exceptions to these but that doesn't mean everyone's an exception.
