  • Hmmm...which beliefs? "The world is flat and i can prove it!" "Vaccines cause Autism." "Europe can survive on One based economy." Along those lines..."betray " leads me to believe that "if i go against this, i will be shunned by my church/group/business/friends"...this rarely applies in my social group, as they are LGBTQ, leftists, rightists, Democrats, Republican, related to me and not.

For the Brexit arguement? Yes, i once believed England being tied to Europe would be a good thing.....because look at America. Now? No, Brexit is badly thought out. As most of Europe is tied neck and foot to Greece, Turkey and others...the Very poor economy of Turkey, in this case, makes it more expensive for a friend to rent an apartment in Britain...as the British economy has to raise taxes, loan interest and such to keep Turkey afloat as part of the group. This belief...i changed gradually by study and asking questions. So, this is not a betrayal, just a change. Besides, being intentionlly stupid and holding onto a unpopular belief....is asking for greater stress and displaced anger at the World in general!

Wow. Shades of that scene in Spider-Man 2 where disparate punters on the train all help Spidey.
