• Why we depend on some papers. What if there was no money at all in the world, everyone would live happily?
Why we live our lives in pursuit of money. House. Work. Because of this, we do not notice anything around us

  • @Anna-Shil
Not everyone has everything. Hence, it becomes important for us to gain the necessary resources available from others who have it. Now they won't give it to you for free, they would like something in exchange. Earlier, we used to have Barter System but it wasn't ideal as the value of small things used to be the same as big things, and as a result conflict arised.

So a currency was adopted and the value of various items were fixed accordingly. That trend has been carried forward and is in practice, till date. Its one of the reasons that keeps our societies civilised. So until the apocalypse takes place, this mode of living shall continue to maintain the equilibrium in the world. (Unless you can go and live in a jungle with bare minimum needs). :)

  • @Anna-Shil

If there was no money, there would need to be some sort of exchange rate, cuz I'm honestly not seeing humans do something for their own good will and natural desire.
Would you work at supermarkets, or in a cleaning company if you weren't getting paid?
Money exists to make transitions possible and to make ppl have some sort of "aim" and not hope that every single human will do something for you in return of what you can provide!

  • @Anna-Shil I mean, money does help us to maintain a civil society. Without money or anything like that, It would just be fight for it. I guess we still do fight for money, But in a different way. It helps humanity reach a more advanced state. Money, factually speaking, is just a paper but anything can lack value. It has value because we give it value

  • @Anna-Shil Hey Anna! If we all produce or generate work or expend our energy, whether manual or intellectual, we must be "rewarded" for it. As archaic barter practices are outdated we create financial systems to "value" work. Money is then an unfair way of quantifying the value of labor and consumer goods and services. Paper printing is just a detail and today the virtual cash on cards becomes a reality that dispenses physical money.

  • @Anna-Shil It is a need for live a good life .to enjoy a life with beloved once we
need money so we need money 🤑🤑🤑

  • Then why are there rich and poor?
Why not have enough money for everyone
to all lived happily ever after.

  • No money, no strippers ):

Greediness is human nature, it can simply never work 🤷‍♀️

  • @Anna-Shil Without regard to social injustices, which are almost infinite, there are no identical skills or performances. There are no more noble activities than others, but those that involve the intellect and that generate development, such as new technologies and innovative ideas, scientific theories, medicine, engineering, law, softwarehouses, are the professionals who studied and were qualified to obtain this differentiated condition . Wealth is concentrated in the nations that most exploit the resources of the planet, but the contrast is everywhere because it comes from egocentric human nature. Poverty that borders on misery must be tackled with opportunities that value human potential, but equalizing wealth among such different individuals is a utopia. Despite the injustices I still value meritocracy.

  • @Anna-Shil There are times where society isn't fair. It mostly isn't fair to be honest. A rich person has many more advantages than a poor person does just because of their birth. But is it truly possible to have a genuinely equal society

  • @Div Ah @Div, in your strange, Scanner Darkly scramble suit, I believe that you're misreading my motives for always mouthing off about communist ideals. Just as Marx himself always knew socialism would be a painstakingly slow phenomenon, and only mentioned economics as an afterthought, so I don't have a particular problem with money.

I disagree that 'might is right'. I don't even believe that money is somehow insidious, and the root of all evil. The problem (as I see it) is that the richness of no-longer-industrial-nations (such as mine) allows for endless self-perpetuating conceit. Rich people have too much time on their hands, and develop endless false economies --so that everyone gets rich ...and so it goes until a final great recession puts us all into Mad Max times, and we're all writing TWS forum messages with chalk on rocks.

  • Hello there....

  • @Anna-Shil said in Why do people depend on money?:

Simply because some humans are too greedy, others are too hard working and others are too relaxed...
Hard working humans would keep trying to become even richer in a legit way, greedy ones would scheme to get more money in an easy way and relaxed ones would just think "I have enough so I won't bother" and are the 1st ones to fall!
Personality is key as well and some will run after and others will wait for it to fall in their lap!
