RE: ANY MUSLIMS HERE????????
@mikeJB said in ANY MUSLIMS HERE????????:
kindly tell me what the heck Eid al-Fitr is and why its all over my news feed? also tell me why you guys have to have a moon appear before you can celebrate? some Shawal moon????????????
The Arabic/Hijri calendar is a lunar calendar and not a solar calendar. Lunar calendars are based on observation of the moon just as the Gregorian calendar is based on the sun. When a new moon is observable, it means that a new lunar month has begun.
The Chinese calendar is also a lunar calendar.
The starting of The Hijri month "Ramadan" is the month for fasting for muslims. After Ramadan is over, there is a one day festival called Eid-ul-Fitr which takes place on the 1st day of the next month. -
RE: Is Capitalism Evil? [The Rise of Reason I]
@pe7erpark3r "Controlled capitalism" is probably the best. I mean entrepreneurs should be able to make enough profit but a limit of making profit should also be legally fixed which will stop them from making too much profit.
These limits of profit can be extended under certain conditions. For example, if an entrepreneur has reached his first limit of profit then the limit will be extended as a reward after 5 years under the condition that he will have to financially help 100 poor families to become financially established. And in this way, the limit of profit can be continuously extended. Also people who are not poor could be legally made to spend a small percentage of their income completely for the poor. Rate of bank interest can be gradually reduced as well.
Inequality of income is okay but it also needs to be made sure that nobody is poor enough.

RE: Do you believe in "God"?
@Futushimo Yes I believe in only one "god" who designed everything. I believe he is eternal and there is nothing comparable to him. When I use the word "him" I don't mean that that the "god" has a gender but i just use the word "him" to indicate the "god".
I also think there are some evidences(not proof) for the existence of a "god":- Symmetry and design in nature
- Complexity in nature
Our Solar System:

Natural battery running the human heart:
This wonderful machine i.e. the human body:

And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer. Little do you remember.
Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe"(The Forgiver,57-60) -

However, shyness might be overcome if a person stops taking life too seriously and accepts the harsh realities of this life without caring much -
RE: ANY MUSLIMS HERE????????
@mikeJB said in ANY MUSLIMS HERE????????:
so everything you do is based on the moon?
No. It is just the Arabic/Hijri lunar calendar that is based on moon. Only the month of fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr & a few other Islamic events are determined by observation of the new moon.
Arabic calendar is not the only lunar calendar. There are many other cultures with lunar calendar. I think Jewish calendar is also partly a lunar calendar.
Most Muslims are non-Arab and they only follow the lunar calendar for fixing a few religious events as i mentioned above. AFAIK most muslim cultures(including Arab Muslims) follow the solar calendar for their secular life and lunar calendar only for a few selected religious events. Most religious practices are not connected to the observation of the moon.

RE: Am I crazy.. Please Say No
@IgnorantBitch A lot of people are crazy. So it is not crazy to be crazy.
Sorrow is nothing more than emotion. So despite going through bad times, it is really possible for a person to be happy and not to be sad. When you experience negative emotions, change your perspective and just remember that these are just emotions. You can do these things regularly to reduce negative emotions in your life and increase your well being:
- Regular physical exercise: Only 10-20 minutes a day is enough. Research shows that regular physical exercise can significantly decrease depression, fatigue and negative feelings and positively change the shape of the brain. Exercise also causes release of hormones that improve mood and increase well-being.
Running/Walking very quickly are also exercises.

- Practising "mindfulness" everyday.
- Close your eyes
- Breathe normally
- Focus completely on the feelings of your breathing
- Count the complete breaths
- If your mind wanders, bring it back to the feelings of your breathing
- Continue
Researches show that this practice can significantly improve well-being,cognition and reduce negative emotions, depression. Brain-scans reveal that mindfulness reduce the activity of the right side of Amygdala(a part of brain),which is responsible for processing negative emotions and also decrease its size. Even only 10 minutes of mindfulness will can have a great impact.
I personally suggest you to practise 5-6 sets(or even more if you want) of mindfulness everyday; each set of 4-5 minutes only. Otherwise, it may get too boring.

- Religious belief and prayer: Research shows that religion and prayer activate the same reward-processing brain circuits as sex, drugs, and other addictive activities along with many other positive effects on the mind. Religious belief helps people to build resilience. It helps people to numb the pain of living in this world. The more organized a religion is, the better it is.
So I suggest you to join an organized world religion and pray regularly.

Does it ever make you feel anxious/afraid when you see the true face of humanity on the internet?
When so many people reveal their true selves online(any site including social media, survey websites, chatrooms, porn sites etc) and you realize that most of humanity are very dangerous, malicious, sadist and genocidal, does it ever make you scared/tensed?
How do you deal with this negative emotion? Anti-depressants? Religion? or some other opium? How do you escape the reality usually?

RE: I’ve joined the LGBTQ+ community...🏳️🌈
@CocoLillian Most women are probably (potentially) bisexual/similar. You might be very wrong to think that bisexual women are in the minority whereas they might be the vast majority i.e. most women are very prone to becoming sexually deviant

I think most women are potentially bisexual/lesbian and they are very prone to becoming bisexual.Being paraphilic doesn't necessarily mean that you have to act paraphilic.

Do not watch porn(specially porn that involves any paraphilia like homosexuality, bestiality etc).

Remember that having sex is overrated. You can be in a relationship with only a guy also and be happy.
- Try to avoid any thoughts regarding deviant and non-functioning sexual practices. You can practise "mindfulness" regularly to have higher control of your mind:
- Close your eyes
- Breathe normally
- Focus completely on the feelings of your breathing
- Count the complete breaths
- If your mind wanders, bring it back to the feelings of your breathing

RE: if you celebrate 4th of july tomorrow then you’re a BITCH.
@pussykith Protests can change laws but it cannot necessarily bring justice specially if the particular injustice done is not supported by the existing laws of the country.
If you want to improve the situation of you people, try to eradicate their poverty, try to establish a science research institute for them in USA and Africa so that they can benefit from it. Engage in charity for your people. Help them financially. Help them to get educated and get good jobs.
This world is not a place for justice. This world will always be more or less unjust. This is nature.
For example, French colonialists committed a lot of atrocities, genocide, robbery, racism etc which benefited France and the French people directly and they became very rich and prosperous because of this. They stole a lot of natural resources and treated humans like animals.
Do you think the victims in this case will ever get worldly justice or will justice ever be done against these colonialist who did innumerable horrible things? No.Because worldly justice is impossible. These people will be punished after death. Every soul will get justice after death. Everyone will be rewarded and punished depending on what they did in this world. Everyone will get justice.
But we should also try to achieve worldly justice as much as possible.
Afterlife, Day of Judgement, heaven and hell are very real. Humans will find out very soon.
You are free to disagree with me :D -

@Masih if your neutral then you’re taking the side of the oppressor. just don’t be non-racist be anti-racist.
And yes personally I am against racial discrimination though I am quite naturally neutral about these political events.
I am not from the western world. I don't accept guidance of the West. But I accept some good sides. I have no duty to care about these issues.
For example, a non-Chinese person isn't supposed to care much about China's socio-political issues.
