struggling through a book

2020 is the year that keeps on giving. for the first time ever, i am struggling to finish a book. not because it is terrible ( it is a fabulously written book), but because i cant handle the suspense! i got 'if it bleeds' by Stephen King ( collection of short stories by King) and the first two stories were fine. Went through those without a problem, but i am now stuck on this one story. the suspense is killing me. i need to get to the end but cant. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

@Anna-Kauffman the road by cormac McCarthy, essential reading, powerful writing. The movie of it with vigo mortensen is superb too, completely faithful to the book, everything in the book is in the film. Nothing is in the film that isn't in the book, a rarity. But the book, oh my god, perfection in prose, not a wasted word, get yourself a copy as soon as you can
